Pertaining to CR prowlers. I am being told by my local dealer, whom to this point I have no reason to mistrust, that there are no VON numbers and thus no VIN numbers being assigned to prowlers on order. All production is being released to the regional representatives for allocation. Therefore, is it impossible for me to know what the serial number of the car is that will be arriving for my parents someday soon (I hope). Can someone please clear this up for me? If I'm not getting the straight story, I'll start looking for one already on a lot. ------------------ |

Steve, can't help you on the VON / VIN question, but if your parents are getting a Prowler, do them a favor and get them TWO sets of front mud flaps  Your dad just might need that extra set

Steve They are right. Since these are on allocation only, your dealer knew they were getting so many, and has used his allocation unit for this sale. They are not taking any orders [NOW] for the last of the KATs. They will get a telex when it is being shipped and then it will have the VIN on it. They will then be able to supply the VIN at that point. Sassy |
