After a month of reading about the other POA members opinions. I called Todd at Causeway Chrysler (800-259-5337) on Friday, 1/25/02, and ordered the following. Woodward Edition trailer #82206297 - $4400.00, Trailer hitch #82282817 - $191.25, Trailer bra #82206215 - $131.75, Trailer wire harness #82203243 - $42.50, Rear mud flaps for trailer #82203236 - $27.20, & Trailer ball #82401104 - $15.30. There was no other discount on the trailer but the accessories were list minus 15%. All accessories will be shipped directly to my house and the trailer will be delivered to where I work. There was no extra charge for shipping or any sales tax, which would of been around $300.00 if I bought these items at my local dealer. I just hope I get a good trailer. LMK what problems I might have with the trailer or hitch. Thanks.................Scott ------------------ |

Some assemble required. But very little. Once you get it check bolts holding the decklid latch to the trailer. If they are tight and it is adjusted properly, GET SOME GREEN LOCKTITE and put dab on each bolt right next to the nut. Also check the lock to make sure it is tight (nut on inside) dab of locktite here too. Never pull at speed without bra, (Parades less than 15mph OK) If you are installing hitch it is easiest if you have air ratchet to remove bumper bolts. They are lock nuts and tight all the way off. You will need 1 1/8" and 1 1/2" hole saw. Follow instructions and it is a piece of cake to install. Some have powder coated hitch. I would suggest this too. At some point I will remove mine and have it done. I would leave it black but the powder coat will stay on better, mine is rusting where the hooks ride in the safety rings. I also used pins instead of bolts to hold the tongue to the trailer so if i want to remove and install shipping tongue it is only a matter of 2 minutes and it is done. Wire tie all excess wiring to the trailer under the trailer. PRACTICE BACKING THE TRAILER This thing turns very quickly, if you are not good at backing trailer try and pull thru when parking so not to have to back up, and if this is not an option, unhook trailer, push into parking space and then back up to it and reconnect. I have heard of people hitting exhaust with the tongue,(this is more than 90 deg. angle) IF YOU CAN SEE THE SIDE OF THE TRAILER IN THE OUTSIDE MIRROR YOU CANNOT GET IT TO GO WHERE YOU WANT IT!!!!! ------------------ |

Skuter - just sent check to Todd yesterday myself. I look forward to using the extra space when traveling later this year. I didn't ask him for pricing on trailer accessories like bra, etc. Sounds like a good deal. Happy Prowling Marty ------------------ Driving my Dream |

If I had a trailer I would sure look at Larry Lords storage stand. Looks like great space saver, a great way to keep trailer out of harms way. Those who have trailers sure seem to enjoy them! ------------------ |

The stand works really good. Put it on and took it off in a jiffy. Great space saver. Nice work Larry. Congrads on your trailers. Now I want one. Have to wait to win the lotto. ------------------ This message has been edited by OnDProw on 01-26-2002 at 08:33 PM |

I wonder what kind of tires the new trailers will come with? I Heard that there may have been an issue with having car tires on the trailers?? |

Rich, the issue is that the prowler trailers are shipped with car tires and by law the trailer tires must say trailer tires on them and no one makes a trailer tire in the size that fits the wheels that are used for the prowler trailers... |
