These are painted on My Kat, never heard of the fronts being done.

Any automotive paint shop carry this product, sorry don't known the name of it, GaryE does.

I was considering making headlight and tailight covers (blackouts) for my red Prowler, but I decided not to because I felt it would look too ricey.

However, I do think rear blackouts with the headlight chrome blackened out with the headlights still visible would look sweet on a black prowler like in this modified image below:

I don't know much about this kind of stuff, but couldn't you just tint them, like you would your window?

The paint is easy to use, tinted would be impossible to get around all of the rear lenses, maybe it would work for the front.
