Hey Dan,
That's great that you are finally getting some funds for all your hard work. I too would like to send you a little something for doing my banner. In your last post on this subject I had asked that you post an address that we could send the funds to. I did not notice that you did that.

Might I suggest that you not post the amounts that folks give you. If you are going to set a price that's fine and I would gladly pay it. But some of us have been hit a little harder than others financially this year. I wouldn't want to insult you by paying less than you would like but I don't want to compare my contribution to others. Thanks a lot

Blue Tie #1,

No ill intented with my post above. You know how it is when you check your mail box and instead of seeing a bill to pay you see stuff like this in your mail box. Totally different feeling. Can't really say I have experianced these kind of emotions of satisfaction too often in my life.

I do know what you mean about funds being hard to come by these days. I have been hit hard in the stock market myself here in the BAY AREA. It is like that for the majority of the USA or the world for that matter. I almost feel at times like joining the JUSTJP club of (the poorest prowler owner). There is a Prowler owner going by JUST JP that straight out declares himself the poorest Prowler owner.

I think your right about what you said though!! I was just grateful, excited and thought I would do a thank you.

I will take your advice....

Merry Christmas!!

LOL TWICE!!!

I think I'm going to embarass Mark (Not my intentions Mark), but here it goes. The flowers were a thank you to my wife for lending me out to all you enthusiasts. It is true there have been times when I'm so addicted to this place I neglect my family at times. Marks gift made me realize I need to do more special things for my family.

I'm trying to work on that.. My wife did side with Mark indicating .. How is it that another person knocks sense into you about something I've been telling you all along?? ... AAAUUUUCCCCHHHHH !!!

Thank you BOB!!!

Sorry Dan
Didn't mean to give her more ammunition. Just kidding. I'll never forget the suggestion you gave a year or so ago about your wife or someone else's getting in a car accident and you suggested sending some flowers. Getting in an accident is punishment enough without makeing them (Wife or kids) feel worse. How many of us have been in that situation and WISH we would have sent flowers instead of respond the way we did? Me for one.

Hey Mark,

I believe the story your talking about is the one when my wife took off on my Saleen in the early morning like 6am and the morning was misty and slightly sprinkly. I had neglected to tell her I had just changed the rear end gears from 3:08's to 3:55's. First and second gear were very touchy and in a wet situation, can loose control with no effort. She later calls me telling me to pick her up. I went on about why should I pick her up if she took off on my Saleen.

She then tells me she has been in an accident. I did not believe her for one minute. I was thinking it was April fools. To speed up the story, I go to the supposed accident site and to my disbelief, she was telling the truth. When I got there, I got off my wife's LX470 and walked right by her and kneeled in front of my Saleen in pure shock. All along as I hear my wife in the background telling me she is okay and was not hurt.

I then pick up the parts and my wife into her car and head back home. I was in total shock...

We get back home and GARYC happens to call right when I walk in. He says, "WHAT'S UP PENA?". I told him my wife got into a wreck with my Saleen. His first response was, "How is your wife"?. I said, "My wife, what about my Saleen". He immediatley got quite and began to lecture me. I could not believe GARYC of all people would convict me the way he did. He told me you go out right now and buy your wife the most expensive flowers you can buy. I immediatley thought supermarket flowers and GARYC practicley read my mind and said, "AND YOUR NOT GOING TO BUY THOSE CHEAP A** FLOWERS AT THE SUPERMARKET EITHER".

I did as he said and came home with a huge flower arrangedment and walked right up to her and appologized for being such an A** Hole. She could not believe that I was doing such a thing. She was depressed knowing I loved my Saleen and she had wrecked it with only having 8000 miles on it.

I also ended up telling her, "don't think you have to wreck my cars to get flowers either".
