I have come back to my Prowler a number of times to find someone had spit on the hood! Anyone else experience this? I understand the churlish motivation behind such an act and once I get over the anger I smile. These are really disturbed people!

Tom - Knock on wood, me, no. There are alot of sickos out there who will do anything to punish you for having more than them. It is sad that a person works hard and saves to buy the things 'they' want in life, and others feel the need to take out their frustations of not getting to that point by marking our success. JMO

I never found spit on my car, but the first year I had it someone put an ice cream cone above the sun visor and smashed it against the roof. I don't leave the car open anymore if I'm not right there.

I also live in Spitsville. Have had this happen twice to the Corvette Conv I owned prior to the Prowler.

Not on the Prowler yet, Knock Wood!. Someone burnt a hole with a cigaret in the seat of a new Triumph Sptifire I had back in the 70's. I had Mazda RX7 someone squirted ketchup all over while it was parked. That stuff ruins the paint.

Almost had a shopping cart rammed into my prowler.( caught the guy just in time) he acted like he had dropped something by my car.I just saw him looking around to see if anybody was watching him.(he didn't see me)Was lining the cart up for full impact. Guess who showed up quickly. No shopping cart damage this trip out.

Tom - It is unfortunate that there are so many "Rectal Sphincters" in the world that have to express their jealously by defacing or damaging anothers property - but, that the way it is unfortunately. We just have to be more viligant when we park or display our "nicer possessions." That's one of the reasons I had the top of the line Gifford "talking alarm" system installed in my Kat, and it seems to have done the job. You might check into having something like that installed on your car. It won't stop the determined a$$ hole, but it is a deterant and the alarm draws attention to the "situation" which "they" don't want.

I had somebody put out a cigar. on the Plymouth emblem on the hood. Better then on the hood itself, but still. I would have loved to have been there to catch him. I might be in jail now but who know's it might have been worth it. Some people just need to be smacked for the $hit that they pull. If I ever saw anybody doing something like spitting on my Kat or even someones 85 K car I would go nuts. It doesn't matter to me what kind of car it is. It's about the respect for someone eleses property.

No spit or shopping carts ect so far, have had my share of nuts though. Black00 I would have stuffed him in the cart and sent it rolling away, Voodoo good answer there's not enough love out there for our Kats or other nice cars.

I guess I just don't understand why people are like that. Why can't the just be happy for someone who has been blessed enough to be able to afford something like our Prowlers. You know the first thing that those spitters did when they saw the car was to smile and say cool and then their stupidity takes over. too bad

I had a woman in an expensive SUV tell my wife she wondered what would happen if she "KEYED" the Prowler. (obviously she didn't know it was my wife) My wife said that the owner would not be very happy. I would probably also be in jail if I caught her doing that!

take care tsf...

Tom, Ophie and I were at a home show when we 1st got the Black, we came out to find someone had spit on the hood. Getting in the car, there was a PT close by and we went to ask them how they liked it. Not only did they love the PT and our car, they were selling polish and polished off the spit, did the tires, most of the hood, and GAVE us samples of this great polish, which I in turn sent off for.
