Had my Prowler 2 months now......love it..... Lot's of attention by people who LOVE to touch it.... I was eating at a restaurant when (2) elderly men decided to check it out...one pulled on the wipers...the other pushed on the bumpers....I'm adding a Hornet alarm that "Talks" to the would-be idiot. It uses the existing factory remotes.. I did ask one of the "Grumpier Old Men" if I could stand on the hood of his Minivan to see what material it was made from! Has anyone had any problems with adding security systems to these cars? ------------------ |

I have added an alpine radar alarm to my car. I have an extra remote for it, so I really have two systems - the factory and the alpine. I haven't had any problems and it works really well. ------------------ |

Previous owner installed a Clifford alarm and remote starter. Only problem is he lost master remote that could do programing and it is on most sensitive setting so that alarm goes off when somebody pulls into a parking space next to me. Consequently, I leave system off most often. Clifford finally has a local dealer and I need to make appointment to have them figure out which system is installed so I get to program to my liking. Also - the automatic window closing feature messes up the one touch factory feature on power windows. Marty ------------------ |

Dave--I had similar problems after I got my Prowler - so I had the top of the line Clifford "Talking Alarm" installed and havn't had too many problems since. Some people take offense to a "CAR" telling them to "BACK AWAY" and will delibertly continue to mess with the car until they set it completely off just to see what happens, but I'm usually there by then and then I get to do the "talking" to them. "They" never do it twice is all I dare say. ------------------ |

The first day that I got my Kat I stopped a some friends work place (Motorcycle shop) so lots of people around. I know most of the people that work there so the business pretty much stopped and everybody came out to look at it. One of their costumers looked at the front bumper and smacked it to see if it was plastic. Before I could even say anything about 10 people were yelling at him and the manager was telling him to take a hike before he got himself into some trouble that he couldn't walk away from. At this point I couldn't even be mad, I was too busy rolling on the ground laughing. It wasn't even their car but they knew that you just didn't mess with a Kat!!! Voodoo |

I came out of an auto store and low and behold a father and son were sitting in my 23 model-T street rod and the wife was taking pictures.......the young boy was so excited I did not have the heart to say anything. Turned out the young boy was mildly retarded. I am glad I kept my mouth shut..... But I do know how ya feel ------------------ |
