Hey, the four engine cross bars can be purchased in Polished Stainless Steel. I have them on the BadKat. Search the posts for Engine Cross Bars, the vendor and contact info will be listed. ------------------

Krinkle would look great but maybe a possible pain to keep clean. Congrats and Happy Holidays |

Do you think I can take mine off myself. I know how to use a wrench. I don't know about the middle big brace. Is there an exchange program for them anywhere? Sasy |

Sasy- About 10 minutes and a couple of wrenches. Not a problem. No exchange that I have seen, so the Kat is down for a week or two. ------------------ |

Make sure they do the right prep on the fan cover plate. The curves by the bolts need to be hand polished first. Mine didn't turn out as well as I wanted so they are gonna get another try this winter. Good Luck. They do look great. An owner here in Plano had all the caps, nuts, bolts even the reservoir cap...anything metal was chromed, Yes a MAJOR PAIN, but it looked SWEEEEEEEEEET! JMO ------------------ |

Yes, This is Denny Sergeant. Has some really super cars. His prowler is still for sale. It is absolutely b@lls to the walls LOADED! But, NO MUD FLAPS. Last I hard h was asking in the 90K range. It started as a 99 Purple. That is Phill Schirico next to him. Both men have been collecting some really nice rods for about 30 years. ------------------ |

Paul R. $125. My god man that is dirt cheap. Now I am not saying that what you have is not good quality work but I never heard of such a low price for that kind of chroming. The labor cost alone for the polishing (like you mention) in the nooks and crannies I would think cost that much. Were you happy with it? Did they do the 3 step process? I had mine done at Custom Chrome Plating Inc. in Grafton Ohio. They are a nationally recognized company for their chrome work. What that means is that they now can charge more, but the work is outstanding. I paid $500 for those five pieces. Again, I am not saying that the work you have isn't well done but if it is maybe we need to have this company on the board as a vendor. Great price. ------------------ |

Bob- I would Cnote did me right. It does need to be re-done this winter. I have heard of up to $300.00 but WOW $500! The bars turned out fine. The only part I didn't like was the cover plate curves where they didn't polish. That's why I gotta have it done again. It really does make the underside look great as shows. JMO ------------------ |

Paul, I know the price was high, and I'm not one to spend money carelessly but I will have to say it is show quality chrome. People from all over the world send stuff to this guy. They had actually refused to do the grill at any price because they said it would not meet there standards. Sent that to Florida. I just happen to live fairly close to this company and was aware of their reputation. The reputation of FABULOUS work at a PREMIUM price. ------------------ |

WildThing- I believe Debbie M. from Midlothian has Denny S. #. I will get hold of her and get it for you. It may not be until we get back from Shreveport later this weekend. The Kat is absolutely immaculate. ------------------ |

Paul if I remember correctly this subject came up a few mths ago and I can't remeber who it was said the large rad cover is made of aluminum and was a lot harder to prep and polish?? That shifter handle on the custom Kat is pretty wild. PK |
