For those of you with lots of CDs, here's the Mopar p/n for an extra six CD magazine... Mopar p/n is 4797433... It's about $30 & you can order from any Chrysler dealership... Might be good Christmas stocking stuffer... ------------------ |

I found that the Alpine CD changer cassette in my Acura Legend also works in the prowler. It was an aftermarket unit that directly interfaced with the standard in-dash unit. I had purchased it from Sound Advise and I bought an extra cassette at the same time for around $15. So I think any store that offers Alpine equipment would have it. I think its thier standard 6 cd cassette. Sorry I don't have a part number, It may be worth the look, just bring along your Prowler cassette and compare. |

It must be a pretty common tray because the one in our Jaguar is also interchageable. Thanks for the info Laddie. I'll add it to the Prowler Parts Index page for future reference. ------------------ |

I took Felix's tip & went to Circuit City. I found the Alpine KAE126C 6 Disc Magazine. It's $30. However you get two magazines (it's in a two magazine package; you can't buy just one cartridge). The Alpine has a clear plastic case (compared to the black Prowler or Mopar one). Maybe there's another p/n for single mag at some other store... ------------------ |

If you have a spare Prowler you have a spare cartridge. Sorry, had to say that. ------------------ |

Hmmmmmm, on my Mopar cd magazine, there seems to be a different part number? #4671095 is on both of mine. I also have some of the Alpine magazines. We bought them at a car audio store, but they were packaged singly. |
