Well, Bob and I returned from a very long 10 days in Las Vegas to attend and work at the SEMA show. Bob was very busy as he had quite a few cars in the show that were built by several different vendors for him as part of the Image Team at DC. One was the PT/10 by Decoma, the Reyn Spooner Surfin' Jeep by MSX, the RAMROD truck by Performance West, the Dodge Ram Belly Tanker Push Truck by SoCal Speed Shop and the Dodge Liberty Patriot (in a yellow we call Highlighter Yellow) by Performance West, just to name a few. Dieter Zetsche was at the show on Tuesday and Bob took him on a tour of the show. I was busy Monday through Wednesday judging with the Engineering Office Design team to determine the winners of the Tier 1 and Tier 2 design awards. Thursday and Friday were spent pursuing a new business venture! Glad to be home......there was a lot of work, banquets and entertaining to be done! We stayed at a friends home in Vegas and it was a very welcome and quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of Vegas strip and hotels! Now if I can just get over this walking pneumonia, I'll be fine! I was glad to be able to meet Cliff but was unable to meet Gina. I was told that Bobkat was there at the display, but unfortunately, I missed him, too! CJ - it was great to meet you. Gina came over on Weds around 10:30-11:00 but you were nowhere to be found and she had to run back over to AAPEX for a meeting. She was bummed too It was a great show CJ - was that green rod painted at Lil' Louis in San Bernardino, CA? I could swear I saw that car there when I dropped off my kat for the flame job. ------------------ This message has been edited by CWatsonJr on 11-06-2001 at 09:27 AM |

Cliff.......I am so sorry I missed Gina. On Wed. at that time, we were out on the floor looking at our final selections for the Tier 2 awards so we could pick the winners. I am bummed I missed her. Starflame.......No one said the High Voltage Blue Prowler was going to be made. It was just a color painted for the show. This Prowler was one of the early pre-production pieces that was originally purple. It was then painted yellow and now blue. Wayne.......cost of the PT/10......A LOT!!! This was a very high-buck concept done for the SEMA show and most likely will be on a show circuit. |

CJ, I thought Hennessey was going to do one for about $200,000 and that's not Canadian dollars. Is that a ballpark number? Is PT owned by Chrysler or Decoma? ------------------ |

Cliff......all I know is that Chuck Lombardo of California Street Rods did the car for Fred. It is possible that he had someone else paint the car, I don't know for sure. Wayne.......Hennessey, to the best of my knowledge, won't be building any PT like that. The PT/10 was built and is owned by Decoma. |

Well, Starflame, the first thing I said when I saw it in the shop was that was what the Mulholland Blue should have been! Now, if they could pick that color now, you would have thought they could have picked it the first time around.........go figure! |
