A friend of mine was at the dealers this week and they said they are not ordering the Prowler trailers any more. They said that DC has either stopping buying from the vender or they are feed up with complaints. The last 3 sold were returned. He said the last one he knew the hood popped up and the person lost all their luggage on the highway. Anyone have the same problem. Sasy |

Most all owners of the trailer has had some kind of problem. Some think it is a big deal others like myself feel it is a mechanical piece of equipment that has to have things checked and maintained. I have had the lock fall out of the trailer on the 1st trip to CAAP. I had to use a screwdriver to open it the rest of the trip. My wife was going to a car show, I was at work, and the bolts that hold the latch came loose and the lid opened. Coming home from Woodward this year we were passed on the interstate by another Prowler owner pulling a trailer and within a few miles they were pulled over on the shoulder to have the bolts out of there latch. ALL TRAILER OWNERS: check your latch bolts and put some locktight on the exposed threads (green is made for assembled bolts), or fingernail polish. Also do not place anything in the area of the latch that can cause damage to the latch. Paul R. has had the worst situation I've seen. The photo looked like the fiberglass broke where the latch mounts to the trailer body. I have had my trailer for over 3 years and LOVE IT

You're right Larry. I had the entire lock plate and assembly pull away from the inside surface of the wall. They at first agreed to give me a new trailer and then backed out. They picked up the trailer from my Dealer here and had it carried back to SC where they are built and they fixed it BETTER than new. I have to compliment them as to fixing it, but I will still put my 6 pop rivots through the plate from behind the ,icense plate. It was nightmare on the road, I cussed them till I was blue, but all better now. They even saw where my tongue was powder coated to match, so they painted the new tongue to match the Kat! No more headaches! ------------------ |

None of the dealers in our area want to sell them. If they order one for you they say. "sales final". Sasy |
