Hi My husband and I were at a dinner tonight with some great DC folks, high up the ladder. I mentioned the Prowler and they said, this is the best time to buy a prowler, also around 10-31 or thereafter, DC will announced another incentive and what I was told floored me. 0% finance for 3 years and if that don't work, this person said they will add no payments for 6 months. Sounds like a super time to get a new prowler. I asked if they were ending production on the Prowler. Sooner than expected and this is what I was told. If you see the factory go idle for any lengths, they count soon after that. The inventory level is too high. Sasy

Hey Sassy, I did see the DC commercial last night for the first time about the 0% finance but I also caught the bottom of the screen, I always look at the "fine print", and it excluded the high end Chrysler and the Prowler and some others but I didn't see them all. The Prowler was on the excluded list though. We'll have to see if that changes. ------------------ |

There was an ad in yesterday's newspaper from one local Chrysler dealer that has 0% financing on everything in stock, and shows a group of cars including the Prowler and PT Cruiser. I believe they are also selling all of their cars for invoice. Another dealer has been advertising 0% for the past 2-3 weeks. Unfortunately, their idea of 0% financing is to markup the vehicle $5,000 and then write you a check for the financing charges. So, the PT Cruiser I was considering buying was going to cost $27,000 and my payments were going to be $500+ a month (when I got done negotiating, they were going to sell me the car for $500-$1000 under invoice and a very low interest rate). I declined their "offer" and at this point, will probably not be buying a PT because of these circumstances. This same dealer is also selling their new Mullholland on their showroom floor for $58,000. Another local dealer, not even 15 minutes away, is selling their Mullholland for $40,800 and another gave up on their's and it not sits outside in the lot with the PT Cruisers. ------------------ • MTD Prowler Intake System 2.1 With EGR Bypass Kit Future Mods: |

Hi Fred I think now the incentive excluded the prowler and pt, but just found out that if you push the dealer amd I mean push the dealer, he will offer you 0%. My brother just got 0% on a prowler and a super deal at a dealership in florida. A note: if a dealer is on a DC buy back, and you know he has had the vehicle for some time, ask him when it will be sent back. Pop in a few days early and he will practically give you the car so he cam make DC hold back money. |

I'll check into that "buy back" thing for sure but for now I'm checking with several body shops on a complete make over for Kitty. I'm looking at a heavy metalflake Candy Apple Red paint job. Also I'm interested in what we used to call a "scallop" paint job instead of flames. We'll see what time brings.. Thanks for your info. ------------------ |

A 5 star dealer in central NJ has two 2000 silvers. Both have been on the lot since Feb. He has dropped the price to 42,990 ( The price in large letters and the Kats outside facing the highway ) They will soon be returning them to DC if not sold. They received the Prowlers without ordering them and are now attempting to return them to DC. They said they will not be accepting any more prowlers except for advanced orders. I don't see how DC can keep producing Prowlers with the market currently saturated with unsold Kats. ------------------ |

Gotta remember ... having dinner "high up on a ladder" one tends to have less oxegen ... thus, hallucination take over and some mistakes in information can be made. Doubt highly that Prowler will be included in finance incentives, nor that production is ending any time "sooner" than expected (was just at Conner Ave. plant Friday, looked busy to me!) |

Last week talked to one of the largest Viper and Prowler dealers in the nation...I was inquiring about order status of another car and gently inquired about Prowlers, how hot etc...said I was the first inquiry in over 2 months about a Prowler...they are NOT selling at all and they have always sold at MSRP or less and have several in stock...just no market now...another curiosity I ran into last week, local dealer could not get a Prowler for over 2 years, now they have 2 on the way, gold and yellow...they are thrilled, thinking the market is still RED HOT for these cars....they are everywhere here in Indiana and have been for many months...just sitting ...last week it was announced at the local DC plant that Prowlers were now on the FRIENDS program, but not yet available for greenslip...maybe soon...still a great value for a fun car...drive one everyday.... ------------------ |

My brother's friend/partner just got an orange one today for 0% for 36 months. Don't know how much he put down, but not much he said. They also offered a trailer for a nothing price (ordered for someone that cancelled was it). I think he got the trailer for 3200.00 or so. Sasy |
