Well my baby and i just got home, 1800 miles, picked her up in chicago, and drove back to vegas, she purred all the way home, weather was fantastic not a drop of rain, took a little longer than i wanted, had to speak with a whole bunch of people all the way home, she loved it!!!one miss-hap,in denver(aurora), i pulled into my father-in-laws garage turn her off and i hear a hissing sound around back, you guessed it,something in the rear tire, next morning over to discount tire, bob was really helpfull, knew about the sensor and everything, took great care with my new baby, much to my relief, had me on the road again in no time,no charge,in the tire was a 2inch drill-bit,could"nt believe it,so a great thankyou was given with a nice tip and i was off,no more problems, and we have definately bonded, got home and its sure causing some stirring in our little neighbourhood,i love it,so now the fun starts, yippeeeeeeeeee.steve this pic outside mt cousins in "iowa" This message has been edited by sfchief69 on 10-03-2001 at 06:42 PM |

SFCHIEF, Congrats on the new Cat. There are two manufacturers of the trailer bra. One you can purchase through your Mopar parts dept available in black only. The other is made by Speed Lingerie and is available in colors. Not an exact match but in my humble opinion better looking than black especially on certain colors. It is also allot more expensive. Trailer bra is a must. Mine stays on all the time. I sold my Mopar bra and purchsed the Speed Lingerie Purple. Paul, I hope you don't mind me answering the question. Hey Steve, I'm putting together a scrap book for our web site. If it's not too much trouble, I'd love to have a copy of the photo you have posted. It's just a great shot. I'd also love to hear your thought on the hardtop during the trip. You can reach me at nschroll@metalcrafters.com. That goes for everyone, I'd love to include as many photos as possible. ------------------ |

You just answered the questions I was going to ask you about your hard top. I 've been serious about a hard top and wondered how the owners liked them. I heard at first there were some problems with them but have been corrected. Have you noticed the rear window fogging up and any leaks. It looks like you started with all the right accessories. Can you believe all the fun this car provides. Congratulations on your new ride., Roadstar |

WAY TO GO STEVE! I know you'll love your Kat & trailer. One thing you might do on the trailer before you do too much traveling is to put some "Loc-Tite" -- (the Blue Cap bottle) on the nuts/bolts that hold the trailer lock mechanism in place. There have been quite a few post's regarding this problem and several people have experienced the trailer lid opening after the lock mechanism actually fell out. Happy Prowling!! ------------------ |

The hardtop looks awesome, Steve. We and maybe others are wondering what it takes to get into the trunk with the hardtop on. We like to travel light and when cruising we get into the trunk a lot. Also how does the wind noise level with the hardtop compare with the softtop? ------------------ |

HI DONNY&DONNA,THATS A REAL PROBLEM trying to get into the trunk with the hardtop on,you would have to lift everything up to release the trunk, not practical at all,so it would be ok if you dont get into the trunk until your destination,or use a trailer, the noise factor,i had no problems, real quite, there are two little gaps where it sits at the sides, but you barely notice it,of course if it rains this may be a differant story, but i love it.steve |
