We saw a few interesting signs on the trip to Skyline Drive. CJ's jewelry shop, in Gauley Bridge, W.VA. No mention if it was one and only or number two of two. "Wreck a Mended" on a body shop somewhere near Gauley Bridge. NITRO, W. VA, Kind of a catchy name for a town. HURRICANE, W. VA, RUMBLE, W. VA. I am presuming all of those names were from the old coal mining days. If you ever get a chance to drive your Prowler thru W. VA., make sure you take RT 50 or Rt 60. Very Picturesque, very windy and unbelievably hilly or mountainous. Really a lot of fun in autostick mode. |

Ed, Now you know the best keep secret in W.Va. Did they stop you for pandering your wares? I still can believe you can pack all that stuff in the Prowler! Sandy must have kept her things in a timble. The Skyline trip would not have been the same without you and Sandy. Thanks again. ------------------ |

I used to travel to Beckley and Man, WV on business. If you were near Nitro and Hurricane, then you weren't too far from (I kid you not) Big Ugly, WV. When I first saw the sign I couldn't believe it, then I passed the Big Ugly High School football field. I've always wondered if you have to be big AND ugly to play there, or is it an either/or situation... Mike |

Mike, We missed that one. Probably a good thing, they may have made me an honorary citizen. Gene, Sandy packs light. She is a trooper. We had a blast. By the way, while going to Grand Canyon last year, in northern Arkansas, we saw a sign for "TOAD SUCK" Park. It was an expressway sign. |

Where I live in Washington, there is a small community named "Joyce" and on each side of town is a dept. of highways sign saying "ENTERING JOYCE". How sweet it is! ------------------ |

Well, those towns have nothing on the towns in Pennsylvania. Here we have Intercours and 6 miles away we have Blue Balls, Pa. which is not that far from Bird in the Hand. The Amish really have a way when it comes to naming towns. ------------------ |

Grew up in PA, and it was a mission in college to get any trinkets from Intercourse, PA. I think I still have a city limit sign for Intercourse somewhere. Thanks for bringing up the places RebelBob! |

Wasn't there a saying that Penn was the only place where you could get from "Blue Balls", to "Intercourse" to "Paradise" in 12 minutes? ------------------ |
