My first prowler cruise experience on Saturday the 22nd on the Skyline Drive in VA. 9 of the coolest cars and 18 great people and friends. Now I know why a bought this car... Thanks again Gene for putting this event together... Darcy and Nancy ------------------ This message has been edited by lynnpt2001 on 09-22-2001 at 07:12 PM |

This was not my first experience, but I would also like to thank Gene for getting this together. Spent some time with some old friends and met some new ones. ------------------ |

Hey, how come my motorcycle isn't in that picture??? Oh, that's right, I finally took the Cat. I now have 17,000 miles after an 1100 mile week-end. Weather was perfect the whole trip. Met a few new friends and revisited with a few "old" friends. Thanks for getting it together Gene. Bob you pointed me to a great route home. It was really scenic. Dave Mills couldn't believe I had an "Enterprise" sticker on the trunk. |

Thanks Everyone! I can tell you the site of nine cruisin' cats with flags is awesome. The "new" and "old" friends made this an event! If any of you have pictures to post I have a spot in the PROWLER EVENT SCRAPBOOK - look for it.If you need assistance please E-mail TonyG. ------------------ This message has been edited by MeanGene on 09-25-2001 at 11:10 AM |

To all those skeptics that may have been to Crazy Horse, I can now attest to the fact that Ed does have a Prowler. I looked it over throughly to find that Enterprise Rental sticker and it just wasn't there! ------------------ |

Ed, so does that explain the Enterprise road maps I saw between the seats? Gil ------------------ |

MeanGene & Joety, A huge thank you from Lucy and I. Hey Gene, since we were the only one's that made it back for the cook-out I guess we can make up all kinds of stories about what went on and everyone else missed! Thanks to everyone else too! I almost had too much fun, such great people all of you. We agree with you Bob about next time doing an overnighter, but Ed, I think the Prowler will be named Consumer Guides most practical car of the century before I see you sit quietly by and watch us BS'n. lol Actually I think this past weekend was the first time in my life that I was with 17 other people with just as weird of a sense of humor as mine. Great Fun! Thanks again! ------------------ |

Bill, now I am confused. Was that a compliment or an insult about the weird sense of humor? lol. Wait til you meet Andy R. You two might have been separated at birth. Mean Gene, keep an eye on the leaves changing color and let us know what a good week-end would be next year and let us plan a little later start on the first day, to allow people to drive from home and still make it (not us but others), and go a 100 to 150 miles and stop early. The second day can be a return trip or in our case, continue south and come home a different route. Let's shoot for 25 cars. Everyone who was there this week-end needs to recruit another car and we will pick up a few just from the thread. Membership in the POA will be much higher by then, also. What a great route. Perfect Prowler road. Hills, curves and scenery. |

Being on of the Northern VA people that missed this event, I can say I'm sorry I missed all you. If you all do it again next year I will make sure I make it. I'm still figuring out how to strap kids to hood, but give me a year and I can do most anything. They are a little to big now to fit in the trunk. Sounds like all had a good time, I'm envious. ------------------ |

Jeff--- The trailer works just great for kids. You can take them with you and you don't have to listen to them ask "Are we there yet"! ------------------ |
