Well the Kat is back and the hod is completely repainted. They did a fantastist job and the finish looks a mile deep. I had them leave the hood ornament off, I have not decided if I am going to put it back on. They found three other rock chips in the hood in addition to the one really bad one which was down to the metal. He told me the hood looked like it had been repainted once before. The car had 59 miles on it when I bought it so unless it was damaged in shipment I am not sure why this would have been done. Anyway I am really pleased with how it looks but now I am going to be paranoid again until the first chip happens which I am sure it will.

It never ceases to amaze me how often other people think or do the same things to their cars that I am thinking about. Now I will probably go ahead and take badge off. Also - Rich, glad you are happy with paint job on you car and I have been thinking about flames for along time and after seeing yours at Woodward will most likely get about same size but with Purple and Blue flames on my black CAT.

Happy Prowling

Marty

Marty, If you need any pictures let me know. The flames do not photograph well but good enough to use as a guide or give you ideas how you want to go. Be sure to post pictures.

Rich - Thanks for the offer of pictures but, all I need to do is keep watching the Woodward Video over and over to see your flames!!!

I met with painter a couple of days ago and he drew some designs on the car that I liked. I am going to his shop Tuesday to look at some paint samples so I can decide if I want metalflake, pearl, or some other choice.
