I am waiting today to hear if my offer on a Mulholland will be accepted. You would think I would be on pins and needles but I'm not. I was talking with a friend and told him that if they call and say yes, they'll do the deal, I should be happy. But I don't feel like I am supposed to be happy in light of this week's events. He looked at me very sternly, was quiet for a minute, then said "Yes you are. If you are not happy, then they win."

Perspective is everything. Wish me luck. Maybe they'll be a happy guy in a Mulholland at Woodward next year.

Before I read the last line I thought the same thing!! I just told my wife that very thing yesterday as she pondered whether or not she should go diving. I told her that right now, life goes on for as many as possible, and if it doesn't, they indeed win. I added to that, though, since we are military, that the time will soon come when she will be asked to "do something".

With 5 firefighters showing up in a Suburban buried under rubble, it is indeed a greater day than yesterday. Thanks for the insight!

Mike - I was talking to two retired guys earlier today that were saying my car was not like any Plymouth they had ever seen and asked if I was having fun with it. When I said something like it doesn't seem like as much fun as it was a few days ago; without hesitation they told me it was wrong to feel that way. They went on to say it would be a slight to their generation that fought in World War II and all other generations that sacrificed so much for America's way of life. They expressed what seemed like true feeling for all those people, families, and friends that are directly involved with the disasters in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania, but stressed that America HAS TO continue on.

Hope you get your car and have as much fun as the rest of us.

Marty

To live less does dishoner to the people who have fought and died so we can have the life we are able to here in the western world... have fun... and remember... in their name.
