Will Knudsen, an employee of DaimlerChrysler, was one of the engineers on the original Prowler Team. He was at the Black-T Party on Friday night. He and his wife Pam, were visiting with us and Jerry and Marcia Scholten on the steps of the museum. They own a Yellow Prowler and even though they were not participating as part of our group, they are fellow Prowler owners. We just found out that this past week, Will and Pam were on personal time down in Texas. It was raining and a car went across the median and hit them head on. They are in Wilson and Jones Hospital in Sherman, Texas, north of Dallas. It looks as if Will has a broken wrist, collar bone and pelvis (he is walking, which is good) but Pam has some internal injuries (punctured intestine) and swollen eye. Please say some prayers for Will and Pam for their recovery from these injuries. If there are any Prowler Owners in the area of the hospital they are in, it might be nice if you could stop by and say hello. It looks like they will be there at least another week. Thanks.....CJ NOTE: I was just watching the WW Dream Cruise video again and there is a picture of Marcia Scholten, Pam Knudsen, me and Dan P standing on the steps of the museum at the Black-T party. Pam is the lady second from the left in the white shirt. ------------------ Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat of course! This message has been edited by CJ on 09-11-2001 at 12:37 AM |

We have a highway that has very high bushes as a median. That is one of my worst fears - that a car will come through those bushes at me and I won't have time to react. Such a sad story - our hearts and prayers go out to them. ------------------ |

I'm glad they survived the accident. I had a friend express the helplessness of a situation like that. He was sitting in bumper to bumper traffic and a car going the other way hit the median divider and came over into his car. Luckily, he wasn't seriously hurt, but could do nothing to escape. My best wishes for a speedy recovery to your friends. ------------------ |

I have just received an update on the condition of Will and Pam Knudsen. Will is now out of the hospital on an outpatient basis. His right arm is in a cast, the left arm is in a sling and he is walking about, so the pelvic injury is not as serious as first thought. He's also pretty bruised up. Pam is still in the hospital with her injuries. The status of those injuries is still tentative. It is possible that they will be released and flown back to Michigan via a Medi-Vac (possibly) this Friday. That also is tentative and I will keep you updated. For those of you who considered visiting them, Pam is using her name......Pam Dawson. If you ask for Pam Knudsen, they will have no record of her. Thanks for your continued prayers and thoughts. ------------------ Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat of course! |

An encouraging update........ "Will and Pam have medical clearance to fly home today. Their flight back to Detroit is contingent on the FAA, etc, but they do have the plane ride scheduled. They both are doing well but getting back to normal will take a while." Thank you for your continued prayers for Will and Pam for their full recovery.
