Well we got back late Friday night after 3,183 miles. We had terrific time at Woodward & CAAP. Took side trip to Hershey Park, PA. to meet up with two granddaughters from CT. Toured Lancaster, Gettsburg and than headed to Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg area and did some cruising there. Both PA & TN area are nice Prowlin country.

Thanks to CJ & Bob, Carol & Fred, all the make a difference volunteers who made parking easy, Jerry & Marcia, Harold Sullivan & Chrysler for the "Black Tee" party & allowing us to tour the plant & see some new toys. All accomodations & parties were better than last year...

I've posted some pics & comments in the events scarpbook area... click on this link...

Here's some of the info & pics I have posted. New Torque Converter went into Prowler Oct. 2000. Six approved colors for 2002 (five in 2002 sales brochure). NEW 2003 VIPER convertible. Viper V10 engine now being built at CAAP (since Apr. this year). 57 Prowlers & 600 PTs cruisin Woodward Friday night. M&L hardtop, PT convertible, PT Woody, PT Woody I (Inca Gold). Tom Mill's Custom Red seats & inserts. Nyle's ghost flames, 300 Hemi convertible. All these Prowlers and the only color we didnt' see was Blue Mulholland.

The best part was meeting all our Prowler friends both new & old...

Laddie - it was nice to meet at Woodward. BTW - the owner of the Black Tie said thanks for putting the top up when it was raining.

Glad to read you had a nice trip home. Some of the drives around Gatlinburg had to be very scenic.

Happy Prowling

Laddie, great to see you and Karen again. Glad you made it home safe and sound. In your description of the gold PT you mentioned it looked different. Last week someone posted something about the PT Cruiser site and I logged on to it. They were all raving about the gold Prowlers and Cruisers and I made the comment that the color certainly looked better on the Cruiser than the Prowler, but I thought it was possibly because of the bumpers being the same color. I am glad to see someone else thought the same and it wasn't just my imagination.
Glad you liked the restaurant at the orchard. What do you think about going to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge in 2003? Plenty of hotels, restaurants and some good cruising roads.

Dave, the hotel in Mechanisburg worked out great & the roads were not that bad.

Ed, the Applewood restaurant in Pigeon Forge was great. Thanks to you & S**** for the tip. We also found Peddlers in Gatlinburg, but, didn't have chance to eat there.

I think that area would be a very good choice for 2003. Lots of roads to Prowl. There are a number of route choices. We traveled to the NC state border via the Smokey Mountain National Parkway. Didn't make it to Blue Ridge Parkway. The Pigeon Forge area has five to seven entertainment places like Branson. It wasn't near as crowded as Branson when we were there. Almost looked deserted (may be going into off peak because of school). Plenty of hotels & five outlet malls.

The highest point in TN was 6,600 ft or so another 7 miles of winding mountain roads...
