I was out cruising last nite with my beautiful S.O..It was kinda of a great evening for the top down, radio playing.You know what I mean. Any way we pull up to a lite and I notice there's a brand new red Vette behind us. The lite changes and we pull away at a restrained pace and this guy starts burning rubber, whips around us and then has to slam on his breaks. I look at my wife and say," whats with the red vette?" Thats not what I really said. What do you think made him act like that.??

Get used to it. That kind of stuff happens all the time when you are driving a Prowler. He was trying to show you his V8 might in his "found on every corner" Corvette. I had a guy last night behind me in a 68 Mustang revving and revving his engine. The Prowler just is an magnet for attention. Enjoy!

Last week a guy in a RED Vette passed me on the expressway at a very high rate of speed and then cut in front of me and had to slow down. I was on the m/c. We both took the same exit. It becomes four lanes and then down to two lanes in the next block. we were sitting at the light and then I showed him how to accelerate quickly. He was upset, I think. He then tailgated me for awhile. I guess they are not used to losing or not getting all the attention. I didn't care that he passed me but then he cut me off, basically and hit the brakes.

Roadstar, looks like he was trying to get you mad enought to race him. Just laugh and point at him and this will really tick him off.

It's not nice to fool Mother Nature! V6s aren't supposed to beat V8s.

Cats always get Vette owners. They think they are the coolest but when they encounter a Prowler, they see the truth. Then they drive like insecure teenagers trying to prove they have a bigger one.

I'll second THAT Mike. I guess their ego's get really hurt when they don't get all the attention they think they should get driving their dream cars, what the heck it happens to me where I live lots, so many SL600s, boxsters',
corvettes you name it they all want to race or pull thoughs stunts around the Big Red Machine,
I have always believed those people have the small mind syndrome, there's a difference between wanting to have a little test of horse power to being just plain ignorant;

It must be a guy/girl thing. Women driving cars like vettes or other sports cars usually try to stare me down. They rarely smile. Don't get the same treatment from men. I thought of this thread as I was driving home today because as I got on the freeway, there was a red vette coming up. He let me in, pulled up along side me, gave me a big smile and thumbs up. Then pulled ahead of me, in front of me, back along side me, then behind me......he turned right as I turned left on the exit and he waved the whole way.

I don't think I have had a vette person acknowledge my existance in any way shape or form when i've been in a Prowler.

I am one of the few Vette owners that give thumbs up to every Prowler that I see. But my Vette is Nassau Blue not Red.... so I guess it's those red ones.
