Well, I finally ran out of the wax I was using (P21, I think that is the name, it's a quality product) and finally decided, with a great deal of skepticism, to try Zaino. I've read the wonderful things people have posted about the product but always wonder how much of the excitement is just because any car looks great after a good wax job and especially after taking the time to do two or three steps (using a cleaner wax, then a polish and then the wax). Despite my trepidation, I ponyed up $38 for three bottles (I think it was Z2, Z6 and probably Z1). Let me qualify that I did the multi-step process not on my Silver Prowler but on my Formula Red NSX. Silver just doesn't shine like a red or black car and the NSX has one of the best factory paint jobs I've ever seen (there are 27 steps involved). The paint on the car is flawless and looked great before I started. After the first step, I was not impressed, not at all. The second step looked better. The third step looked truly wonderful! Now, it is impossible to quantify whether this current wax job is better looking than the last time I both polished and waxed the car, but it seems to be better. It might be that after NINE steps my mind needs to justify the effort. I did drive the car in the rain today and I have never seen bigger beads of water on a car. With all my qualifications, I have to say that I am impressed with the product and will probably put in on the Prowler.

I use zaino on my orange prowler. Its the best system I've used to date. The multiple steps might be a pain, but the first application (Z1) only needs to be done twice a year. And the second application (Z2) goes on and comes off nicely. By the end there might be beads of sweat on the car but they'll be worth it. Just pull it out of the garage and put your sun glasses on cuz it'll be the shiniest thing on four wheels.

Well, you guys have me motivated to do the Prowler with the Zaino! I might try to be somewhat scientific by maybe doing one fender with the old stuff. I'll keep you all informed.

I have 3 coats on my silver Cat. Granted that silver does not shine as "deeply" as red or black but with each coat I seem to get a deeper and deeper reflection. I love the products. By the way, I have used their ClayBar on one of my other cars to removes a light paint spray (from when my house was painted). Boy did it do the job. Not only took off the fine spray but all the other grit and grim as well. The car's finish looked better than new!!!

if you look through the posts I think that the nsx board actually did a test with 5 waxs and they were pretty extensive. http://www.nsxsc.com/nsexcitement/waxtest.html there I did it for you

Zaino definately works great on my silver cat. I also use a different bottle for my white Porsche Boxster and it looks like it was pearl coated. Try the leather cleaner and protector also...best stuff I have ever used.

My favorite subject! There is no other product that compares to Zaino. I made a cheat sheet for myself that may be helpful to some of you.

Here: Zaino Cheat Sheet

Enjoy!

Sure thing! If you got any questions just ask. Here's my cruiser with 3 coats on it. See how reflective Zaino is. Not just shiny, but reflective like a mirror.

Well, I went ahead and "Zaino'd" the Prowler. I guess the difference is that the finish looks almost liquidy. The black roof on the NSX is indeed reflective and I still think the darker colors will get more of a pop, but it does look very well on the silver paint.
