 Is the prowler CD that comes with the car the same for all of the prowlers (97-01)???

Thanks a lot. i didn't get one with mine and the dealer is not getting anywhere with it so i'm thinking of buying one. Someone is selling the CD that came from a 97. thanks again. - Danny ------------------ |

Did you check the mesh pocket holders by the center console (both sides)? We have been hearing from some that they are missing upon delivery - every car is issued a CD. ------------------ |

dkla12........Mike K is absolutely correct....the cds have not changed. As a result of pursuing the matter of the Prowler cds that are supposed to come with the car, the following facts have been shared with me..... DC approached the manufacturer of the original Plymouth Prowler cd to have them change it to a Chrysler Prowler cd. In light of the exorbitant cost quoted to them by the manufacturer, DC elected not to continue production of the cd. Extra cds CANNOT be obtained at the plant, and when they run out of cds to place in the Prowler, the practice will, at that time, be discontinued. Anyone needing this cd should check with any local dealers to determine if they have any or can obtain any through their ordering resources. When those supplies are depleted, there will be no more! It is unfortunate that individuals are removing the cds from the vehicles after they have left the plant. The CD is called: and it looks like this: The Tale & The Tunes

I would be interested in one. Could anyone burn the CD - I'll gladdly pay you for it! Since they have discontinued it there shouldn't be copyright problems - I think. |

PO2001....someone asked me once about copying the cd and below was the response. I do not know at this time if they have actually run out of the cds yet. I do believe, however, that even though they may not be distributing it at some point, BMI/ASCAP and DC may still have copyright and royalty privileges: Earlier response: Most music is copyrighted and subject to royalties. DC has licensed the music used on this cd. The license covers one cd for each vehicle produced by DC. The cd carries the following statement: |

I have a 1997 prowler and i did not recieve a CD. As far as i know there was not a CD given to the 1997 prowler owners. |

Prowlin4ever......sorry to hear you didn't get one. However, they did start distributing them with the 97 Prowler. I suspect, because the car just came out and so did the cd, that a lot of them may have gotten "lost" at the dealerships. |

Going up. I just looked at my CD. I didn't get one either. I got a Chrysler demo CD that tells you how to operate the radio contols and has a few songs. No wonder I wasn't impressed with it. This message has been edited by ed monahan on 08-29-2001 at 12:23 AM |

I didn't recieve a CD with my Prowler either, but a friend made a copy for me who got one with his car. Just some songs on there no big deal. I like the songs I downloaded from Napster better. Fredd ------------------ |

I found mine on ebay for about $15. and had it tested for finger prints Came up as GaryC. LOL no pun intended ------------------ |

I noted that CJ said that the CDs will accompany the prowlers until DC runs out. My Kat was built on May 10,'01 and I have the CD so DC still had these recently, maybe they still have some. ------------------ |

Lavka, it is possible that they haven't run out yet. However, my contact at the plant has told me that they will not sell them. Believe me, I've tried to get some for the people on this board. Sorry! |
