Quicksilver; I get what you were trying to do for someone. Thats great. What i was getting at is the lack of strength in the market for the Prowler. It seems a shame that the car that many thought would bring tons of money because of its exclusivity, has failed to do so. Frankly i would be happy if it held up to its original list price, never mind BIG BUCKS!! |

FYI, I stumbled across http://www.rvtraderonline.com/index.html while looking for a camper and did a search in their auto section for Prowlers. Over 200 for sale on that site. I couldn't believe it. -Pete ------------------ '01 Nissan Xterra SE 4x4 |

Quicksilver; I hear you man! I paid over list when i bought in January of 1998. I got mine from a dealer in a small Vermont town and had it shipped to NJ. Your basic NJ-NY dealer at that time was asking in the $60,000 range for the car.I got mine for alot less but still paid over list.Thats why i said what i said. I don't know of any American car that was built in what the maunfaturers call "LIMITED EDITION" that you could have made money on.I think their idea of limited edition and our ideas differs greatlly. I remember reading somewhere in one of the DC press releases about the Prowler the 5m cars was what they were talking about. I think they have built over 10m , Am i right? |

Patience, guys, patience. The short-run market may go up and down, but like anything of value it is the spirit that endures. Street rods, dragsters, race cars, the image of two people blasting down the road in the wind--there are certain shapes and engineering triumphs that fit what all of us feel in our hearts. The Prowler--Plymouth, Chrysler, modified, however--is the essence of car. It will be worth more than we can imagine. But if you own one, would you want to sell it? ------------------ |

That site is ALL travel trailers, campers, RV's. Those 200 Prowlers are trailers to camp in, NOT Plymouth or Chrysler cars. That is an RV site. |
