Need some questions answered re the Prowler trailer wiring. 1) Can anyone post a diagram of where to drill for the wiring harness to go through the trunk? And what size is the hole? My harness came without instructions - I have it working but just out through the back of the trunk. 2) The wiring in the trailer has a little receptacle under the mat. Can this be used to add an interior light? If so, does Mopar sell the wiring to fit in this receptacle? If not, what other ideas are there for interior lighting in the trailer. Thanks in advance ------------------ |

Wayne, the Texas boys and CJ are using a battery powered closet type light attached with velcro under the lid of the trailer... saw one at Kmart on clearance for under $5.00... as to the wiring questions, gotta get them Texans in here (ya'll...) ------------------ |

GPS - aren't those the same type of lights you use throughout your home? I've heard rumors you are conservative with electricity, and wish to sell your surplus to Calif. residents? Good idea! |

Wayne- We Texas boys wired our lights into the running lights. Mounted a merc switch on the hinge and only use them during the nights, so we have to have our lights on to use them, but don't normally need them during the day...it works great. Run the wire right through the factory harness! Quick and easy! ------------------ |

you are installing the factory harness right. you drill the hole in the left side of the trunk in the middle of a crome square marker next to outlet.make sure you can plug your connecter in.dont get to far out.i think the hole size is 1 and 1/2inches. you need a hole saw drill bit to do this.you can get these at home depo. another prowler going to home depo. hope this helps |

Wayne, I came up with an alternative to wiring the interior lights for the trailer. I used one of those closet lights, mounting it with velcro. Easy to take down when you need to replace the batteries. East to mount and you could put as many as you want in it. I used one on the top and it actually throws quite a bit of light! There are a lot of different kinds. The one I purchased is operated by pushing on the light to turn it on and pushing again to turn it off! ------------------ Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat! |

Wayne I use the connector in the trailer to plug in a collman 12 volt cooler. Just have to use running lights to power. |
