Great to see the post! I have been a devoted ZAINO fan since buying the car but occasionally wonder what else is out there. I will go ahead with the re order! ------------------ |

Rich, thanks for this link. I have been using the WalMart Zymol product with so-so results. And, following the numerous rave comments from Prowler owners, I have ordered Zaino products just last week. I have not used them yet but from the various links to photos of just-waxed-with-Zaino cars, they seem to almost glow. Most appear to have special paint on them but I have seen this effect on lots of different colors and different cars from every kind of car maker. I am anxious to get the first Zaino products for my own personal trial. My BMW-snooty neighbors have not even heard of Zaino. I'll have to do some edge-a-katin' to those Munich munchers. ------------------ |

Paul, Be sure to check out the step-by-step instructions on the Zaino web site. The 100% cotton towels are a must and don't leave the Z1 on the car too long before applying the Z2 especially on a dark car because it will leave little moisture beads. I really think that there is nothing that compares to the Zaino shine, however I always windup with water spots if I let the car sit too long after washing or rain. Anyone else notice this? ------------------ |

Mike I've never used that wax before but I brought down some special wax polish that my painter gave me to use after he painted the cat if I'm not mistakin it's a mixture of silicon and a polymyre and boy does it work great I will post info on it and where to get it when I get it from him no water spots with it. and I've been looking at buying one of those California water scrapers to clean off the water after washing it, seen it on TV. Has anyone got one of those yet? |

Is Zaino by mail order only or is it available in stores? I have still been using blue coral, which is okay. |

As far as I know it's only available by mail order Ed. You need to go to the website and print an order form, then mail it in with a check or money order.

Ed, Zaino is available locally in some areas. Zaino now has distributors in some states. We have a distributor here in Louisiana (covers the state & lives in Baton Rouge) & he tells me Sal will refer you to local distributor if you call or go to website... ------------------ |

I dont get water spots on my Cat but I wipe the water off right away when I wash it. I never drive it in the rain. In Illinois I have city water, and the water is pretty good. In Wisconsin the water in my well has a high lime content and I do get hard to remove water spots on my other vehicles and boats but I don't use Zaino on these items. If you get water spots on a car that has Zaino on it maybe it has something to do with the chemical makeup of the water...????? Note, I am no chemist. I would never wash my Prowler with the water from my place in WI. I have had good experience with the Zaino product. Spent $100 and cut up those darn 100% cotton US made towels. ------------------ |

I can see that we might have afew investors here who would love a Larry Lord car wash franchise. Lord's washers use ONLY soft, spot free rinse water. Can even wash the interior in his two-in-one step process car wash. |

I have a California Water Blade. It works well on the hood, fairly well on the deck and sides. I still end up wet towel drying the rest of the car. Water blade works best on cars with large flat surfaces or with only small countours. It does shortened the drying time on the Cat but is not the total answer. ------------------ |

I'm another fan of the California Water Blade(CWB). It's useful on the Prowler because the water just doesn't have a chance to dry if you get to it promptly. It really reduces the wiping, wringing, and wiping time. I can go from a 2-3 towel drying job on a regular car to a 1-2 job using the CWB on the hood, trunk, and roof. I recommend it and it never scratches. ------------------ This message has been edited by Paul on 07-17-2001 at 08:29 PM |

Ordering from Sal Zaino is easier than going to the store. Site lists everything available, order form is very simple and turn around time very quick. ------------------ |

Has anyone tried Finish First? Their site is: http://www.finishfirstpolish.com/ There are a lot of the durango guys that use that polish and it is a corporate sponsor of their site. I was just curious if anyone here has used it. ------------------ |
