Returned home today. Words really can't describe what a great time I had. Meeting all the people, from all over the United States, and Canada was just awesome. Putting the faces to the posts made everyone smile and laugh. And taking the time to talk to people, see how they really were as people, well, I have to tell you I had a lump in my throat more than once. The laughing, the dancing, (yes, I have pics,  ), the cruises, the parades, the kids at the parades wide eyes. Gary and I gave away those trading cards of my car to some who looked like they need to cheer up, and believe me they did.And the scenery,, beautiful. Yes there were some mishaps, but that is to be expected I think. I have many pics that I will post when I can,, and the ones I can't post I will e-mail to the subjects,,lol.. Thanks JD, for letting me come home early, I really didn't want to leave you high and dry. You are a good friend. I missed the parade (I was fishing) but everybody talked about what a big hit with the kids John was, doing burn outs and handing out JD2K trading cards. Of course he's just a big kid at heart. Those kids will treasure those cards for years to come. Way to go John. ------------------ |
