Neon light users, I just ordered my neons for under my Red cat, but a friend I was talking to yesterday told me it was illegal to use them in Texas. Anyone know if this is true, or had any run-ins with the law when using yours? ------------------ |

According to Texas Law Enforcement aganecies, they state that it is a " Unauthorized Color " and cannot be on while the car is moving. ------------------ |

From car club members experiences: 1 - Police will pull you over if you use red - red is for emergency use only. 2 - Neon tubes must not show, the 'ground effect' can show, but not the neon tubes - distraction/blinding for other drivers. |

I have Red Neon under my cat. Texas law will not allow Red Or Yellow supposedly. I have not been pulled over but I am careful where and when I turn them on. ------------------ |

Any BLUE, RED, or WHITE light that is on your vehicle is against DOT regulations. AMBER is OK. Any other color is OK. *Some* states ban green as that can be park police. -Ben ------------------ |

Here in PA it's illegal to have them on while driving. |

Thanks for the info. Sounds like I better leave em off while cruising. At least on the highway. Should still be a great effect at events or on private land. ------------------ |

It might be illegal while moving but I love it while stopped. Have a switch close by you where you can turn it on & off quickly. Works for me. ------------------ |
