I am ready for Deadwood!!! I have a fresh tank of gas,
my mother's credit card, a toothbrush stashed in the
visor, and an extra pair of underwear in case I need a
change or need to get bugs off the windshield. I will
stop at one Home Depot when I go thru OKC and get a chick
to go along. See ya'll there.

Time to get started. I took care of my last chore. I got
a couple of chickens from Farmer Brown down the street to
let loose in the house while I am gone. They will give my
kitties something to play with, and something to eat should
they get hungry before I get back.

12 hours and can't even think about sleeping. Now, if my back would stop hurting, I might be able to make this long drive!

I am right on schedule. I haven't done a single thing to get ready yet. I haven't stopped the mail or newspaper. I haven't even thought of starting to pack. The gas gauge is below empty, seriously. What am I doing reading this site, I should start getting ready.
I have to get allergy shots tomorrow, get somebody to water the plants, stop the mail etc etc etc. Who cares, I am retired and I am on my way in 32 hours. See a few of you Sat. a few more Sunday and all of you on Monday. Drive carefully. Deadwood is in SOUTH Dakota, not North Dakota, right? GPS is our leader.

Hurry up and wait....there must be a woman involved.

I am taking a cover for the car in case there is rain
along the way....thank God for all the room in the
trailer. Also taking a gold pan just in case I need
gas money on the way back.

I think this trip is going to be fun!!!

Anyone heard from CJ lately? Hope she didn't fall off
a mountain.
