I had the pleasure of sharing lunch with Bob and CJ this afternoon in the middle of Illinois as they were passing through to the western lands of fun and friendship. Their BLACK Beauty Rig - black Durango, black trailer and BLACK Prowler looked awesome. (Maybe because of my Black PT Cruiser parked next to it? Nahhh) No wonder BLACK is the Best colour !!! I also checked on a special highlight for all those coming through Peoria on Saturday June 30th... more to follow later, so stay tuned! Thanks for lunch guys! Had a great time - see ya soon! Since everyone will be coming from the East, take I-74 West, towards Peoria (Actually, East Peoria) Exit at Rt.116-WEST - you will actually be going south at this exit. Stay in the RH lane, and turn RIGHT at the first light by the Amocco Go ONE block WEST and make another RIGHT by the sign for the Baymont Inn. Go straight and you can't miss the hotel. Laddie - follow these directions, after you get on to I-74. Since you will be coming up I-55, take the I-155 "bypass" at Lincoln IL. (You'll be about 40 miles south of I-74 here, and I-155 will save you a few miles travel as compared to taking I-55.) If you can, * BE AT THE HOTEL AROUND 3:00PM,* we can then catavan to the "Wheels of Time Museum" which is on the north side of Peoria. I have arranged for them to stay open later for our group, since they close at 5:00pm normally. -->PLEASE<-- adjust your departure times to arrive in Peoria as close to 3:00pm as possible. This would translate to leaving the WEST side of Indy at I-74 and I-465 at no later than Noon on Saturday. The museum will take about 2-1/2 to 3 hours to see, and is well worth seeing. Thanks to Gary Swider (silver MadMax) and PT Mark Radeff, my sheepskins are installed, and they say said I will need to wear eye goggles with the top down on trip because my head will be over the windshield frame - real friends I have Monday I clean the cat after saturday's cruise to the mountains with our local group.
