These are the ones that everyone in town wanted $75.00 a pair and I got them off the net for $28.95 a pair.. ($62.00 total for two pair) I shot some comparison pics and they are at my page under Exterior changes. http://www.lordofthelooks.com/f.henkel.htm ------------------ This message has been edited by prwlyn on 06-19-2001 at 06:00 PM |

Thanks JD, I love it when you can do some inexpensive things. It means you can do so much more..... ------------------ |

Excellent comparison shots, Mr. Lord of the Lamps. Thanks, but what about Todd's comments on heat in the housing. Anyone burn or melt wires or housing yet? ------------------ |

Paul & Todd, I talked to the tech at the bulb place and he told me that even they do not recommend the 100W bulbs due to heat. He said that most domestic cars cannot handle the higher watt bulbs. I bought the 65W ones and he says the same thing told to me by a tech in town, that he had never seen the 65W causing a problem unless it was something else to blame. I drove around last night using them, what a difference when I got out on the back country roads!!! I stopped short of the garage, when getting back, and put my hand on the plastic lens and felt no large heat build up after being on for about 1 1/2 hours steady. ------------------ |

Fred, Which website did you purchase these from? The best I could find was about $20 a bulb and they were not the Xenon lights. ------------------ |

Bill, I got them at http://www.prostreetlighting.com/english then select the "catalog" icon at the bottom of the page and then the Xenon Plasma bulbs. Notice the icons are Prowlers... The 9005 is usually only the high beam but mine has it in both. They list "standard wattage and high wattage", the standard is 65W the high is the 100W. I got the 65W, less heat, and they are the 9005 bulbs. The $62.00 included the shipping for two pair. They have the 100W for the same price but as I mentioned they recommended to stay away from them. ------------------ |
