I am not sure what TV show it was NIGHTMAN? they used purple prowlers in all kinds of stunts and raced around town. Does anyone know what show I am talking about? And how many they used. Where are they now? ------------------ |

Chris could these cars be some of the recalled frame problems that were out there I was told by one of the dealers out here that these were going to b sold to move companies ect but only after they signed a release that they never go back on the highway again. That was just what I was told though PK |

That sounds logical, but DC has been known to crush 'em. |

PK - it's not likely that DC would sell those cars to anyone. It's more feasible that they would just crush them. ------------------ |

Actually, some of them were sold to auto prop companies at good price. I know the owner of one in LA that rents them out for commercials, movies and other events.

Wellllllllll! Who will be correct. I have heard(only rumor) that all the cars were purple and there was about 600 of them. I was told they were ALL CRUSHED. The explanation given to me was that the LIABILITY factor was too great to ever put one of these into the publics hands muchless anyone else.JMO ------------------ |

PaulR There is a guy in Dearborn Michigan that bought some too. He "I am only guessing this" must of signed a release of liability to get them. I asked a friend and he said they striped them down. I think they would of wanted to conserve as much on each vehicle as they could. The frames were sent to Alcoa too. ------------------ |

I know there was release forms that were to be signed before any were to be sold to release DC from any liablity, and I know there was a red one from the dealership I go to that they sold whoes number couldn't have been to far from mine because of the delivery dates were close, I was concerned about mine and pressed DC to check it but my # was not in question from what I was told by the rep.
