Larry & Dan - I like it. How does it perform? Both side panels have opening, or just one side? What state is this cat located in? Plate looks familiar. |

Very nice Larry, Love the little touches in the engine compartment as well. (paint) I got to know where you got those clear lens covers for the bumpers. I want a set. Still can't find someone who offers the euro style turn signals for our cars, let alone the rear tail lights.

I believe those rear lenses are the front bumper lens covers mounted on the rear. Wildcat and others have done the same. ------------------ |

This is my first post and I'd like to start off with thanking Dan for all of his help and for doing such a wonderful job with this Prowler Enthusiasts website. To answer questions regarding my sealed intake system, it is not a kit, I made it myself. It was my idea to bring in cooler air from the outside rather than hot engine compartment air. To help cool the air in the engine compartment I also wrapped the catalytic converters with header wrap, made aluminum heat shields around them, and wrapped the upright supercharger tube with header wrap. I attached pieces of an a/c condensor surrounding the lower tube to help dissipate heat. I have 2 gauges monitoring intake temperature and the temperature coming into the engine is not much hotter than the outside air into the scoop. I have 2 water drains built into the scoop (front & rear) after driving it over 2 months have had no water problems. I must say... the hardest part was cutting the hole in the side panel. It is only on the left side and behind the side marker light so as to not throw off the lighting balance. I just dyno'd it last Friday (89 degree day) and produced 254 rwhp with 8.08 lbs boost and 209 ft/lbs torque. I have 23,000 miles on this car. I love it. In the 3 years I've owned this car, I've handmade my own hardtop, polished the frame, chromed front suspension, Borla exhaust, on & on & on. My friends tell me I can't leave anything alone. Your welcome Larry!! I did not realize this was your first post!! WELCOME TO THE POA DISCUSSION FORUM!! Hope I don't get anyone in trouble but I was told while in Texas that DavidN came up with putting the front bumper lights in the rear. I passed this on to us Northern Cali folks and have begun doing it. Just purchase the front bumper lights and pop off your rears and they fit right in the original harness. Later... |

HATS OFF TO LARRY! I said above that license plate looked familiar. Like the Alley Cat's first year plate - NEBRASKA. Larry - Congrats on a extra fine job on your cat. I was born and raised in Lincoln, and bought my cat there. I'll be there around August 10th, so email me your phone # and we can do lunch. Would enjoy seeing your cat close up! ------------------
