Hey Folks,

I thought it'd be a good idea to make a list of those who sell Prowler items. Accessories, Diecast Models, Factory Parts, Stuff to clean it, etc........... If you can put what they do after that'll help me organize it later.....

Got one? Post it here! I'll compile a list categorized for everyone after a few days of posting....... :-)

http://www.logocaps.com/ - Air Valve Caps

http://www.carnuts.com/ - Mopar Stuff/Diecast

http://www.carlinidesign.com/ - Aftermarket Accessories

Let's see how many we can get all at once..............

Ben, Carnuts is owned by Nowell Herman. He does not manufacture anything and the prices are approximately double of what they should be on most items. The $50 denim shirts I can get for $30. The hats he wants $20 for I can get for $10. I am not in the business, so I don't have to make a living selling stuff. I can get anything embroidered with any color cat, car, word in any size, icluding Woodward and Black Tie.
I applaud your efforts but I hope you will investigate before you recommend vendors to the membership.
Butchee just bought a lionel train car from Carnuts for $80 that anyone can get for $40. You will probably get some email on this topic. I am just a little more up front and outspoken. I have never had any dealings with Nowell. I do not have an axe to grind.

Nowell is a prick. I hate the guy. He shipped me rocker panel protection in an empty box. Plain and empty. I had to call him numerous times to get a refund since he refused to reship it. Too expensive. Heck with Carnuts -- scratch from the list!

Who else has vendors then?

If he runs Carnuts like he ran the OFFicial Prowler Club I would steer way clear. Good Luck to Tom Kalski with it he really needs all our support.

Ben, we can put you down as a negative on Nowell, then? Don't hold it in, let us know how you feel.

First let me print a retraction about the remark I made about being "bent over" by Carnuts.(in another post) I had no way of knowing what THEY paid for the rail car, so I was wrong. When I ordered mine I mentioned that it was on E-Bay for 40 bucks, but said send it anyway. Nowell said thank you. Some things I'll haggle for and some things I wont bother.I just wanted the piece. I only know Nowell through phone conversation and can only speak for myself, but I have no problems with the man. Anything I've ordered has been shipped within reasonable time and has been received in good condition. I'm glad I'm not one of those that feels hatred every time his name is mentioned. Now mention Bill or Hillary, and that will get my BP up!

Wow....sorry to hear that others had a bad experience with www.carnuts.com. I never had a problem at all. In fact, I like the site. I like the variety that the one site offers.

I guess I don't mind paying for convenience, and one stop shopping from time to time. Yeah, I agree, the prices are probably not bargain prices, but I always had prompt service and ordered a variety of items.

Hmmm....

I too have had several dealings with Nowell for both my Prowler and my son's Mustang. Everything I ordered was shipped in a reasonable amout of time, correctly without a hitch. I have found Nowell to be receptive and very knowledgeable with regard to everything I have purchased from Car Nuts. As a matter of fact, the Borla system for My Prowler was less expensive from Nowell that any other place that I found..and he had it instock. Borla themselves quoted me a higher price and a 6 week wait. Lastly, as far as mark-up or margin, go look at any other retailers that carry exactly the same items..I don't remember CarNuts advertising that they are the Wal*Mart of accessories..I was looking for a Cordless phone last night..it was $179 at Sears, $179 with a $30 rebate at Circuit City, and $129.00 at Office Depot. Same phone, same upc...The only one I can be mad at is myself if I were to buy it at Sears. So, sorry that some have had less than satisfactory experiences with Nowell, as for me..I'd gladly purchase from him in the future and if I had a pricing issue, I'd give him the opportunity to meet it or pass. As far as calling him a synonym for penis..I think you could have made your point in a less offensive way.
Sincerely,
a satisfied CarNuts customer.

Carnuts.com is a JOKE. If he had something worth $1000 for $1 I wouldn't give him the chance to make the sale. ENOUGH SAID!

It all goes back to that same old saying.......
"you can't please all the people all of the time, only
some of the people some of the time"

I never had the pleasure or displeasure of dealing with
the man or carnuts. Do not intend to either...too much
controversy.
