Forgive me, but in light of some of the things that have been happening on the board lately, I just felt the need to remind everyone how fortunate we are. Fortunate to own the coolest car on the planet, to have this website as a source of making friends, to be able to enjoy the group events, the opportunity to share info, humor and friendship. Someone sent this to me, and I thought it extremely applicable to the Prowler Owners Association and Prowleronline.com! Hey now, I've been involved in team leadership for many years. There is no "I" in team. This little diddie cuts to the heart of what a team is all about. I couldn't agree with it more...........however, there are a few on this site that don't fit buy my standards. When I read stuff like, "I'm not tellin" or " These mods will go to the grave with me" just don't fit in a team...........we need to work on this to have a team to be proud of............... ------------------ |

Hey now Wild Bill, you hit the nail on the head. When it comes to racing on this site, which is my only intrest here, the ones that claim to be team members sure seem to hold out on the rest of the team. I'm no expert on building motors and use this site to find out new info and share any I have. It just seems to be a one way street here with some. I remember Gary sending me a email stating that the claif. boys wouldn't share info.....man, is that the pot calling the kettle black..........and Mike's statement in the article, keeping secrets to himself..........doesn't feel like a team to me................I'm sure for the ones that are clubbers here, its a great site. Yeah, but Jerry, with the fastest, quickest, whatever Prowler on the line, do you blame him? I'm trying to make my car fast, or at least faster so the speed can meet the image so when someone gives me the "Oh, it's only a 6 line", I can smoke the tires down the road and shut them up. You guys turned it into a competition, and competitors dont tell. ------------------ |

No offense, guys, but the last few posts are just the reason why I started the topic in the first place.....  I understand that your particular argument is important to a few of you, but for those of us who don't really care one way or the other about racing, who wins, who is the fastest, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.......I wanted to put up some focus for the rest of us who just want to enjoy our cats and our friends! This site wasn't meant to focus exclusively on racing.......if I am wrong, then I guess a lot of us are in the wrong place?! You are, of course, entitled to post on the site and to state your opinions, but how about starting your own topic to carry this on rather than this one?? Okay? Okay, I know I am going to get bashed for this, so let the testosterone fly!!! ------------------ |

I thought the geese thing was beautiful. I will share with others. As far as the word about how fast a Prowler goes and how do you make it go that fast , I agree it needs to be worked out in some back room about what one shares and doesn't share. Sorry, I guess I was the only one that found it hard to keep from retching. Kansas doesn't have as much corn as that geese thing. It reminds me of that Great Wise Woman who wrote: It Takes a Village to Raise a Child, Hillary Clinton. I know I live my life as she suggests because she has such an exemplary one. I don't live my life by animals that are as close to dinosaurs as birds. I may live it like most mammals do, cats for one example. They really don't exactly flock. The flocking kind of animals are the victims of predators. Predators don't flock. I think it is in man's nature to be competitive (it may be woman's too, but what do I know about them?). That is why we are the most advanced animal on this planet. Having said this, I love this site, I Iove getting together with other Prowler folks, sharing ideas, opinions, etc. It is just the darn bird thing that got to me… sorry again! ------------------ |

Sorry if you were offended Jim. I'm not implying that you didn't get it, but it really wasn't about the geese....it was about working together as a team, getting along, supporting each other, etc. etc. Instead of arguing, back-biting, nit-picking, and worrying too much about something that in the end, is not all that important! Competition is great, and yes, we women can be just as competitive (I wasn't an athlete most of my life and not be competitive), but I believe being competitive with honor and integrity is more important. Being competitive and living your life alone is far easier than learning how to be a part of a team. Oh, well, sorry I posted it........my mistake! ------------------ |

Fatman......I wasn't directing this post at you specifically. It was one of those "if the shoe fits" statements. No, I don't really know you. And you don't know me. I was surprised to find out that you were at the TSW event, as I was also. But I never even knew you were there. I am assuming that you were busy getting your car ready so that you didn't have time to introduce yourself to others. No problem. If racing is what you like, that's fine. I like racing, too. I worked 5 years for a motorsports company and ran tractor/trailer roadshow programs for them. Heck, I even ran the GM Contingency program for all venues of racing! I used to tell people that usually people wanted autographs from guys like Jeff Gordon, but he wanted mine! On his contingency check! Believe me, I know and I understand racing. I also understand that you have issues with certain people with regard to sharing of information on racing and in your frustration with that issue, you tend to make derogatory statements about this site. The point I was trying to make is, again, this is not a "racing" site. You stated yourself, that racing is the only thing you are interested in here. Okay, but don't take your frustrations with a few out on the rest of us. The majority of the members participate on this site only because we enjoy our cars, the events, the information and the friends we have made...not racing. Please don't forget that there are people on this site who have supported you and given you assistance, including myself and my husband. Like you, I don't expect anyone to agree with me. But I do try to be a contributing team member and I try to do that in a diplomatic way, not bashing. I'm sorry if you took it that way. It was supposed to be a subtle reminder to all! ------------------ |
