Seems like everyone is tring to get a new T Bird...This will be the next hot car...Many dealers in Miami are getting $5000.0 over sticker, at least..People are paying. I'm gettimg my wife one at sticker from a dealer that's giving top priority to anyone who has purchased three cars in the last yearS..Thats me....we are picking colors this afternoon.... ------------------ |

sorry but I think the new t-birds are ugly. for some reason ford just messed up the styling on them. its nice to see other car makers make something nostalgia though. looking forward to seeing them at cruise nights and blowing the their doors off with the prowler. I thin motor trend tested the t-bird and it wa 1 second slower than the prowler in the quater mile. and it even has a v-8. I am looking forward to ford 49 if they decied to build that. or even the chrylser crossfire. somthing that should replace the prowler. 2000 silver |

I just saw a Motor Week or some show and they test drove a new Tbird. I remember 252hp, 260lbft V8 (forget V8 size). 0-60 I believe tested at 7.0 sec, 1/4 mile I think was 15.xx @ 92 mph. Sounds similar to stock Prowler performance. ------------------ |

i was thinking of getting a t bird also. but i certainly wouldn't pay a penny over sticker certainly not $5000.00 the only reason the greedy bastards ask such crazy numbers is there's always some schmuck out there willing to pay it.in a few months they'll be another hot car out there and the dealers will soak the car buyer again. i don't understand why people are stupid enough to overpay i mean they don't double the price of say playboy if someone particularly hot is inside.preople are just sheep my family owns several car dealerships. and a few months ago the salesmen were laughing about how much they got over sticker for a pt cruiser ------------------ |

I like the car alot...This ones for my wife...doesn't matter what the 0 to 60 times are or what any of you think. Hard to believe any of you bought a Prowler because of how fast you could get to 60mph. I'm not paying over sticker, however I have paid over sticker on certain cars...most recently my Porsche Twin Turbo. Does this make me stupid....stupid people don't become succesful. If I want a car now.... I will pay for it..because I can...My brother use to think I was crazy buying 20 cars a year...He recently lost a couple of million in the market...Not me...was never stupid enough to be in the market. I told my brother "At least I can enjoy my toys and not just loose it. ------------------ |

Ilike the looks but it doesn't rrelly get my heart racing like the Prowler did and still does. The PT Convertible on the other hand comes closer to my feeling for the Prowler. I also like the Chevy SSR scheduled for 2003. Also the Ford Forty Nine which is just a dream car for now. ------------------ |

My Rochester NY local ford dealer is selling them at MSRP and have several on the way. No waiting list. If you need their info let me know and I can phone book it. -Ben ------------------ |
