I have the opportunity to trade in my 99 Black for a 2001 Mulholland blue at a good price. The blue is sharp and very dark - almost black. What is the view from people who HAVE seen the blue in person - black or blue (and no it can't be black and blue - I'm out of garage space)

I have both (sort of Black Tie) and they are both just as hard to keep clean. I like the blue top, but a clean black is awesome, ask CJ

Being that you already have a Woodward which is part black I think I would go with the blue. The blue is awesome in the
sunlight, have not seen one at night.

I vote for black. When I saw the first tub at the plant that was blue, I tried to take a picture, but it was so dark of a blue that it came out looking like black. It does look different in the sunlight, but if it's not in the sun it's going to be hard to tell the difference.

Just my opinion.

P.S. Remember, though, that the 99 has the stiffer suspension. Not enough of a difference for me to trade my beautiful black for a blue, though!!

Have had both...personally like the Black best, but the blue is very popular with everyone that sees it....if you can come up 2 years and have a new toy, GO FOR IT !!! The ride is a lot different since 2000....a few other toys also make a nice change....have had 7 Kats and still don't know which one I like best...I just keep trading them....PS, give the orange a look, it has been the most surprising color I have owned yet.... public response is amazing !!! you cant go wrong with any Prowler...

It would be kind of cool to have a Woodward and a Mulholland, since I have cruised both streets in the past year. CJ, anymore cruisin street names coming down the pipe?

Wayne,

I would go for the blue - it has a purplish blue in the sunlight and is dark blue otherwise - the best part - the pinstripe will match your IB Durango - it does mine

I had a similar question a few weeks back regarding the blue vs silver. Made the change to blue two weeks ago! Thoroughly pleased so far -- the darker color will show the dust and dirt more -- but not a big deal since you're accustomed to black. I love the blue on blue combination, it is particularly striking with the top up. Now I just need to have my air patroller painted blue.

I usually only buy black, I looked for one but then saw the blue. I have 3 black cars and the Mulholland. I love it. The blue is totally cool. I think you would like it. Black is hard to beat, but Blue is really cool.

CJ Well, I like to look at it that I don't give up easily. I was just asking about name this time ( I will save the question of the color of the name for a later post). Am I correct that some announcement will be made on June 7th?
