I put my yellow 2000 in the garage last night after about a 150 mile ride and went out this morning and found I have no sound coming from the radio in any mode. All the lights come on and the counter works but no sound in radio or CD. I hit the mute button a few times and nothing helps. I also noticed the check engine light is stuck on. I read the manual and the only non invasive thing it listed was to retighten the fuel cap. I decided to leave it home and drove the orange car, but cant figure out what happened over night in the garage and if the 2 problems are related. Any advice?

Sounds like a wire or two loose to me and a trip down dealer lane, hope you have a good one.

Found a fuse blown that controls the amp not the radio this explains why the radio had power but no sound, with this fuse blown I had no volume and the trunk wouldnt unlock. My check engine light is still on though.I had this same check engine problem on my black 2000 and it took 3 trips down dealer lane to find the problem, I hope they find this one faster!!

BOBKAT:

Had that problem with my cat.
The fuse was blown when i used my
accessory power outlet.
Replaced it and nows works great.
Dealer is also going to replace the
accessory plug.
Engine Light could be from your gas cap
not being tightened at least three clicks
as I was told by my prowler tech.
They checked it out for leaks and told me that
was more than likely the problem.

Hope this helps out,
BOBM
