Sorry if I am posting in the wrong category but this is important.
I have a 2001 ORANGE (uuhhh) and i have been trying to be very careful breaking it in (but it is a sports car and it is really tough to keep my foot off the gas with the great exhaust sound(yes i even like it stock))

But my car only has 1000 miles on it and i was going to clean under the hood when i saw LITTLE SPLASHES of oil in about 4 or 5 places (mostly on the black valve cover)
Should i be concerned??
Sorry for the long post but please help. Do i need to take it in or am i just over protective?

Bob,
Probably not anything major to worry about but definately something that needs to be checked out soon. Whatever it is, it's covered by the warranty.

Rather than stress yourself out about it, take it to a dealer and have it checked out! Might not be anything to worry about, but if there is a problem then you are addressing it early!

Thanks all I guess Iknew all along but was just hoping I won't need to be w/o my cat while they check it out since you people seem to know so much about these cars.
On a different note, today is my first day I drove my car to work (I Am afraid of door dings so i usually just use it on weekends) so I keep going out looking at it and smiling from ear to ear (it is like an overgrown HOTWHEEL).

BTW Todd do you have a number or a name of who to contact at star? and i hope this is not the same place that messed up your orange. like i said before, i bought out of state so i have no idea where to go here who will be nice to me and i dont feel like going to santa monica since they wanted $25,000.00 over sticker to sell me their orange.

thanks
bob

hey larry thanks

Bob,
I don't have his number but you want to speak to Gus Prieto, the Service Manager. Star Chrysler Plymouth on Brand Blvd. in Glendale. Gus is a great guy to deal with,
Be sure to tell him that you heard about him on the POA!

I am glad their service is good because their sales guys SUCK! I had one hang up on me when I tried to get him to come down to sticker on their Mulholland - they want(ed?) 70K for it.

yea... but the only reason they HAVE Prowler's for sale is they are buying them from other dealer's and shipping them into Cali. Until Cali people en mass, are unwilling to pay such a premium bump up... these high prices will be "the rule" here... at least we are not in "the city" San Francisco, there they charge 80-90 GRAND for Kat's!
