I am seeking advice from the experienced about how the car
should perform after the Paxton 1000. How much boost should
I expect and should it be instant or gradual? I would also
like to hear about any problems associated with this installation, as I've had to replace the alternator and
PCM.
By the way, all of you who have considered the Paxton and
decided not to do it because you were told that all warranties are voided if you do. Do not buy into heresy and rumors. Laddie Roussel is correct
on this subject when he stated it depends on your dealer and
your relationship. The only charges I had from the dealer
with the alternator and PCM replacement was 145.00 charge
because they had to work around the modifications of the
Paxton 1000, and they billed me for the extra hours. Laddie,
you're right again; Be nice to your dealer and he/she will
not divulge your secret to Chrysler which would surely void your
warranty(assumption)

Hey now, I'm no expert as this is my first supercharged car but here is what I find. With the basic system, when I jump on it, it boost to 5lb. real quick then runs up to 8lbs. at the end of the RPM range. This is with Prowler Pro gears. I have just upgraded the Paxton. I haven't tried it with the gears as I put the stock gears back in to see what they will do at the strip. I'm sure I will be putting the gears back in at the strip on Fri. so I should have something to compare to then.............

Larry,

I've had my supercharger for some time now and have enjoyed it tremendously. At first I was not very happy about it since it was only producing 6 pounds of boost. I later found out that Paxton was holding out because they did not want to blow up Prowler owners cars.

I have since upgraded my system twice.

First Upgrade

Second Upgrade

Here are more interesting links!

I'm debating whether or not there should be a third upgrade ??
