Now that I have read that the Paxton supercharger/headers will void my warranty, I am not going to do them - but what about the exhaust -

Has anyone heard the difference between the Paxton, Mopar, Mac - etc - whatever else is out there?

Preferences?

What I looking for is a deep rumble (if possible) but not loud. To me the stock exhaust sounds like a rice rocket though my wife and others say absolutly NOT.

If I just do the headers will that void the warranty and would that also help to deepen the sound?

Who told you the exhaust or supercharger would void your warrantee??

Maybe you can shop around. My dealer says anything not directly caused by the mods will be covered.

Exhaust is in the ears of the beholder, many different ones , all sound great to ther owner. Me, I like mine, One big x pipe to OBX resonators,, but I'm sure your going to hear more post about everyone else. Whatever turns you on.

But I would find a different dealer.

I fully agree with John, the sound is all in the ear of the owner.

I have the original Borla system, #2 system sold by them back in '98 (#1 was sold to Mike Krehel I believe). I love it over stock! Have I heard others? Only Laddie's stright pipes sans mufflers. It was louder, but at full throttle, not to my personal liking, but Laddie like it.

Remember ... this IS a V6 and NOT a V8, so don't think you are gonna get a Chevy rumble out of this thing ... no matter what anyone says about "their" exhaust, it just won't happen.

Buy what YOU like and not on what is "the thread's" recommendation.

speaking of... does anyone in SoCal have the Mopar HiPo exhaust yet? I'd really like to see and hear this before I buy 3 sets! Like they said Cliff, it is all a matter of the dealer and your personal hearing. I would contact Tracy Latiker, who is our area DSM and who OK's things above the dealer and see what SHE says about this warrenty issue. E-mail me for her # if you want it.

PAXTON all the way! Got to see the Paxton Kat here in Texas. Loved the option of changing out the tips as well as removing cat converters and nice rich deep tone! JOMO

Todd,

Jim Angle of Canyon Lake has the Mopar exhaust on his car.
He also had the same grind marks inside the left tip as Mike Krehel had. The parts are ordered to replace the tailpipe and tip. Ontario JCP is where he bought his set. They still have one set in stock if you're interested.
