Texas Motor Speedway Laps for Childrens Charity is THIS SATURDAY May 19th, 6:00pm-10:00pm 3 Laps for $25.00 We have done this a few times already and everyone has had a BLAST! Nothing fancy this year. Please meet at the Speedway SOUTH parking lot before you enter the tunnel at 5:00pm SHARP! This will give us time to get in and line up for a quick group photo! Please bring proof of Insurance and $$$! You can run as many sets of 3 laps as time and money allow! Please post on this thread if you plan on attending. We will most likely cruise for dinner somewhere later! If you haven't experienced this... DON'T MISS IT! ------------------ |

Well with the threat of rain hanging over us and the TMS track, not many cars showed up for the Laps for Childrens Charity, But WOW did that make for more fun for those of us that did. Pace car was nice to us and pretty much let us do anything within reason...and yes GaryC, passing was allowed. David W and newby Kat owner showed up and is now HOOKED, especially after seeing 115mph on the backside straightaway. Boy oh boy did we have a blast! I myself ran 27 laps on the track and if it weren't for a hungry crowd, probably would have done more. Only about a total of 100 cars showed up. Prowlers by far were the most impressive and most photographed. Thanks to all that attended and I know you will be back! ------------------ |
