Latest update:
For anyone interested in a 4-post garage lift for servicing or extra garage room (double stack parking), call this guy: Chad Reed at 877-889-7358.

I believe I will buy one of his lifts. He mfg the lifts and personally installs the lifts. Other companies I talked with farm out the installation and a la carte the necessary options (like low approach ramps).

Rtop-lift will do everything for $3425....a prowler group discount.

Joe ...

Is this Cytech? I spoke with Darren and thought he was n his way to talk with you and discuss a POA group deal ... he seemed very enthusiastic about doing something for us as a club and his company, Cytech, has stablility in the 4 post lift maerket ... price isn't everything when it comes to stacking our personal 'treasures'. Let me know how your meeting goes and clarify who this is you are asking people to contact ... thanks.

Ray,

I have talked to Tom at Superior Lifts (a lift distributor)in KS, Darren at Cytech (Lift MFG) in KS, and Chad Reed at RTop-Lift (Lift MFG)in KS.

The corvette club is using Superior lift, but I did not like the a la carte pricing and looking for delivery personnel and installers, and pricing approaching $4K/lift for me doing all the coordinating.

I want a mfg who stands behind the lift they produce. I do like Cytech, I just have a problem with a rep installing at $600/lift. thus making the lift cost $4K. True, price is not everything, I <do> want quality and safety in a lift. Darren has been very fair, but I want service. I am one of the lazy guys, just write a check and have it 100% installed. If Cytech can do it all....I might choose them.

However, Mr. Chad Reed (Rtop-lift), I met at the GoodGuys Hot Rod show in Orlando, a couple weeks ago, will come and install the lift as an "all-inclusive" package, and he has been very responsive to my questions on phone and email. I like the service and one stop shopping of Rtop-lift.

I have not 100% made my decision, but plan to get a lift this month from whoever provides the best service (clue to "service after the sale" too).

Here are the contact numbers for Cytech and Rtoplift:

Darren (Cytech).........800-754-8786

Chad Reed (Rtop-Lift)...877-889-7358

Call, and talk to both guys, and let us know who you feel would be the best value. The both said they would demo a lift in the Orlando area for the Prowler group.

Joe ...

Checked my previous invoice, I paid $350 for delivery and install ... so either price on that went way up, or I got a break because I coordinated delivery to coincide with a show they were going to on the way past my area.

Secondly, is the other lift a closed column lift like Cytech's or do the rails ride on the outside of the posts in order to go up and down?

Lastly, to address your after the sale concern ... Darren volunteered to pick my othe lift up and move it to my new house when they are here delivering my new lift. He said it would give them an opportunity to inspect it and make any adjustment for saftey reasons where necessary. That, I thought, was GREAT customer support ... specially since he said it would be at $0 charge .... two home are about 20 mi apart.

I vote we push for an all inclusive deal with Cytech and move forward ... my input.

Ray,

Thanks for the input.
That sounds great...that's what I need too.
I am trying to find a bigger garage with a house, and will be moving the lift.

Based on your comments, I believe Cytech will treat us right and give us a good value. Let's move on!!
