Just picked up my new Mopar exhaust from my friendly neighborhood Dodge dealer, $600 + tax  Gonna be on by Friday (It's like Christmas!)------------------ |

Andy, I just ordered a system form MAC Motorsports and hope to have it Friday morning. I am also trying to have it installed by our trip to Indy. Can't wait to see and hear the differences. ------------------ |

wrong subject should be under Andy's post... Andy, that is true. Two of the bolts that hold the bumper on (one of the four on each bumper) take a litte time to get off. It's a little easier after you done one of them. Cool Ken, Hopefully they'll both be ready for Indy trip. I will finish installing that Kenwood DVD player tomorrow (Thurs) that I got in today! I worked on it today but going a little slower than I hoped (wishful thinking) Install is pretty straight forward, just time consuming. See you soon, Andy ------------------ |

Andy, I got the MAC Sport Exhaust today nad had it installed at Car-X. It only took them 20 minutes to switch it out. It sounds great under acceleration but has very little drone when just cruising. Looking forward to hearing the Mopar version tomorrow! ------------------ |

I know a few with different exhaust, the Mopar is the best Just idling is great too. And when you set on it, look out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sasy ------------------ |

I had a mechanic that rents from me put on my Mopar to day. Looks, sounds, and feels great (I believe it was called the butt-dyno) A little louder so hard to hear Montel when he's on  See ya tomorrow, Andy ------------------ |

I installed a Mopar Performance Exhaust today on my Mulholland. The installation took just under 20 minutes, but I was quite disappointed when I took the plastic off the left tailpipe tip. Someone apparently decided that they didn't like the weld and decided to grind the entire weld inside the tip. So much for the QC department. The sound of the Mopar seems to be much softer than my car with the Borla system. I'm not sure if it's a fair comparison because my original Borla rear tail pipes would not fit (early Borla) and I have the stock tail pipes with the baffles removed. The new Mopar did have a nice throaty sound to it and does not drone at crusing speeds. I also wondered why the Mopar tail pipes don't have a drain hole in them for removing condensation (picture with blue arrow). I will probably drill holes once I get my left replacement tail pipe.

Mike Krehel I have the same mufflers, run them for a while and you will see that there is a tiny tiny weep hole in the first weld joint from the tips. I noticed that both of my pipes have condensation coming out form them and travel up the pipe and dry. You have to keep the bottoms clean because of this. I would wait to drill a hole. I checked with Borla, and they told me that the Mopar Borla and the regular Borla setup are exactly the same, except for the tips. I don't care for the carbon fiber tips that came with the Borla setup so i changed them and used Gibson three and 1/2 inch stainless steel tips(lookslike the factory tip with no baffles). I have heard both the regular Borla like mine and the Mopar Borla and they sound exactly the same!! Seems foolish to pay more unless you just want those tips with the cat on them. Just my opinion!! |

Hey guys.. I just got back from a Cruise in Indy....16 Kats. We had Factory exhaust, Borla, Mopar/Borla, straight pipes, baffles, no baffles and the MAC Sport Exhaust. I have to say that I am VERY, VERY please with the MAC system. Great low idle tone, throaty under acceleration and quiet at cruising speeds. I would highly recommend it!! No baffles in the tips. Several owners complemented me on the looks and sound. ------------------ |

Well since someone already sort of engraved the left one at the factory I see no reason why not. What would you use to engrave it? ------------------ |

That was supposed to be part of my question actually, I was rather extremely tired last night. I was bummed to find out DC only engraved the outside of the muffler's as it is the inside you see when close to the rear of the Kat! Any idea how we might be able to get a matching inside Kat engraved on these? ------------------ |

It was my understanding that Borla is the one that has the cats engraved on the exhaust. Todd, perhaps you can contact Borla and ask that question. If they do the engraving or have someone do it and if it could be done on both sides of the exhaust. Let us know! ------------------ |

Mike, (and any other with new Mopar exhaust) I drove mine with brand new exhaust to Indy on Saturday and we all noticed some fibrous debris blown all over the rear deck lid (apparently from new exhaust). Most people thought I had a custom metal flake paint job! Not sure if it could have been abrasive, so I didn't wipe or dust off, just hosed it off when I got home. Clean as a whistle now. I believe I feel a slight power increase also with new exhaust. My tires will squeak now where they didn't before from a stand still. Sound is great! ------------------ |

The dust or particles you see are from the inside packing in the muffler, i had the same thing when i first ran my Borla for the first time. After about an hour of running that should stop and you will not see it again. |
