Hi
I was wondering if someone has the settings for the Vertical and horizontal levelers for the headlight housing.

PS. The cleaning solution worked like a dream, no spots in the lens and they are clear as crystal now. I will post later the details.

Sasy,
According to the Prowler service manual, you must fill up
your fuel tank prior to making any adjustments on the headlamps. There is a bubble level on top of the assemblies and the preferred alignment for both vertical
and horizontal is zero, but an acceptable range is .75 up
to .75 down. The hi beam pattern will be correct when low beams are correctly aligned.

Did you get your headlights replaced. If mind fog up more, I will ask to replace them.I am washing her tomorrow and checking for leaks. Someone told me that DC is aware of the problem and they have done some modifications like using a different sealer around the clear lens. Any tips if I have to see the service manager to get them to replace them. Also, I was wondering if water got in, can the light bulbs exploded from water.

No, I don't believe the headlight bulbs will "explode from water", actually, the effect that the HID bulbs, I believe you said you replaced the stock ones with - correct?, will actually provide a way cool look to oncoming traffic if you fill the entire headlight housing with H20 ... plus, it eliminates the water spotting problem all together ... best of luck, let us know how it goes .... k?

Actually, if you look, I believe the clear lens, and the rest of the exterior is one piece. Just molded to look like two. So the unit is like a clam I guess, interior and exterior, with screws and glue attaching the two. The top does come off to replace the lamps...

If you had the unit off the car I would drill a weep hole at the bottom of the unit for drainage.,

I have not received my lights as yet. One side, the drivers, was on back order. I haven't called back as of last Tuesday.

Hey now, I found the leak to come from the top cover of the headlight assembly. Mine started fogging up on the right side when I wash it after I had replaced the headlight bulbs. The gasket they use is way to skinny and if its not centered on the small hump that is the sealing surface, it will leak. I had to shim my gasket to get it to sit right. All Chrysler needs to do is make the gasket wider too fill up the whole width of the sealing surface.............

I believe your right Fat Man. Also, one of my lights was missing the rubber plug at the adjustment holes.

But I still think they need to have weep holes to get the water out once it is in.

My lights have been on order maybe 6 work days Sassy.
