Mine is a '99 lemon, well actually, its just yelllow, and honestly, it's more on the mutard side of yellow than the lemon side, so, after thinking this trough ... I guess I don't have a lemon after all ... sorry. Now, there may be a few oranges, plms and grapes out there ... and we hear 'rumors' that some candy apples may even be on the horizon ...

Every Kat owner has experienced some problems one time or
another. These nuisances will never interfere with the joy
and merriment of driving this unique automobile. The mundane and humdrum of driving is a thing of the past.

All three of mine have had warrenty issues... the Black and the Black Tie were easily resolved. The Orange... well, 4 months and counting. The way it looks, it'll be another 3 months.

Todd, my prowler's problems are as follows: on the bottom of the grille there is a funny looking paint chip that is a perfect square, my hand brake button is very difficult to push down, and also the feature that locks the doors after the prowler is over 16MPH cannot be activated when i go throught the steps in the owner's manual. One awkward thing is that i have a 01 plymouth prowler and the keyless remote does not have the chrysler logo in it. Is it supposed to? THANKS A LOT. What were your problems ?

I guess I should read my manual, Are all 2001'2 supposed to have the auto lock? My manual is at my office soI guess it will have to wait until I return. Reading a manual who would have thunk it!

My 99 has the auto lock feature. The only problems I have had is I don't trust the fuel gauge (common problem from what I read), My speedo needle somtimes jumps when I am sitting still. I had to have a speaker relaced. My top leaks but I have attempted to get if fixed yet. The leak is not that bad. It has only been driven in the rain 3 times in two years. But I plan on taking it in to be fixed before I go to Woodward in August.

dkla12, I would personally insist my dealer fixes those problems. I have had other small items fixed on both the black and the black tie. Neither of my 2001's has a Prowler logo on the keyless entry, just the key itself. The key bit is a 2001 thing as I understand it, they can be ordered, the keys, I "think" the part # is 05066339AA for the 2001 Prowler Logo Keys.

Chrome,

The Kats come with programmable locks. There are different settings you can get. I had my set to the "rolling" locks. My doors lock at about 17 MPH. Your tech at the dealer is SUPPOSED to know how to hook up his little programmer and set it for you.

see your dealer like jp is suggesting , because it is way eaiser to program with a drb III and they shouldn't charge you. On your remote it doesn't have a logo. the key should have a prowler on the key
