Had to get one of the tops locking latch that snaps to the top of the windshield. The old one has a grey plastic tab that comes out the front and locks the tab down. When the new one came, they are all black now. Much much better looking. They will have to order the other side now to match. If I had to buy the latch kit it would be 200.00...ouch....

Sasy....
Also had a gray top latch replaced on a 2000 Yelo Kat once(it was new/no miles)...I also noticed on one of my 2001 Kats the latch button was black, but is it really different(better), or just a different color....still fascinated they charge $250. per latch kit and they can not possibly cost more than a couple of bucks to manufacture....hope the black plastic is a little more sturdy than the gray ones....can you find out if they really are any different ??? thanx

I am trying to research something right now. Back in my younger years I was the first person in Ft. Lauderdale to convert a mini truck into a convertable. The kit I used from HotTops used the very same latch. I am currently trying to locate them to see if they are still in business? They were in Tempe, Az. I will post if I find anything out.
The whole kit I used was only 199.00 if my memory is correct.
