Since our "other" active Prowler female has declined to "share" her age with us from the "Demographics" thread ... She leaves us NO alternative but: TO GUESS HER AGE !! Give it your best shot and reason for your guess ... I'll start ... I'll guess 48, divorced and bought the Kat with her lucrative settlement from the 'ex' ??? ------------------ |

Yes , this information is really needed for the members of the POA to know! This is what i look for when i go on the site of a Car Club. It certainly helps me understand all the ins and outs of the Prowler.Don't you think??? |

Ray, you have more courage than I do. I wouldn't touch the question of a woman's age if someone offered me a free Prowler for guessing right.... ------------------ |

I won't guess her age, our youth is in our mind not our looks. Married |

ZONK!!!!!!!!!!!!!Wrong, self made millionaire. Got my own KAT. No man ever gave me anything I did not already have. Never ask or assume a woman's age. You will be wrong every time. Age is only a state of mind from a woman's point of view. That goes for men too. The subject is moot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poor Ray - had to learn the hard way... Never ask a woman her age and if she asks you - you ALWAYS say 25. If they are younger they want to look that age and if they are older they want to look younger. ------------------ |

From her facial appearance, if the rest of her is close, I would bid on the right to spend some time with her. I would bet that if SasyMama did get her Prowler in a divorce, it would have a fancy vanity license plate such "WAS HIS". larrys@dlease.com |

Mike ... Now you know me VERY well, and we have been through much together on discussion forums over at another site. I don't feel that Sassy should be able to manipulate the closing of a thread, just as others have asked for a certain topic to end, yet it is left to just die on the vine on its own. NO special treatment for our self-made femme fatale millionaire I say !! I, for one, feel that if Sassy wishes to contribute, than she should be able to sit back and read without worry the comments, thoughts and ultimately "guesses" of her fellow (and fellowette -- CJ) Prowler club members. After all, and not to pick on CJ -- who spoke up rather honestly and proudly, but WHAT is the big deal on age here? If age is simply a state of mind ... what State are you in Sassy? Speak up and the thread will close on its own ... stay silent and well, as they say ... sit down, keep quiet and hold on for the ride .... BTW ... why NO pictures of YOU in your own scrap book? Seems like others here might "bid" on seeing more of you ... ------------------ |

Ray, I had no intention of closing the thread. All I was asking was to give her a break. If Sasy does not want to disclose her age that is her prerogative. ------------------ |

Agree fully, Mike ... This thread has nothing really to do with her having to do so ... As with all threads, she can choose to look the other way and mot even see how the guesses are coming ... Speaking of ... I am convinced .... OVER 45 ... very protective of age, over 50, women tend to care less and under 40 isn't a big thing either ... who wants to take a stab? ------------------ |

I'm with Mike! Whatever her age,,she looks good,,for her age,,whatever that may be. Lets just leave it at that and leave it alone. I'm not sure if anybody else ever gets tired of having to sift through all of the non Prowler related stuff just to get a little information from this site, but I sure do. I don't mean to be a grouch or even a grinch but I can go to chat rooms all over the net. I come here to keep in touch with Prowler information, people and events. I believe the off topic area was created to help with this type of clutter and BS. Maybe it's time again to remind everyone that there area sections to the discussion forum that are better suited to to the joking, teasing, banter, and all of the other chat room type stuff. Please let's keep the Prowler Discussion Area just that,,,about Prowlers. My 2 cents worth,,,for what it's worth. This message has been edited by Larry Lord on 04-30-2001 at 08:59 PM |

Well... it should have been posted in off topics I think. Ray is ok with asking... although I'd not want to be in his shoes at the moment... I personally think Sassy looks good for any age. ------------------ |

Todd ... You are correct, I guess I should have posted under "off topic discussion" but then, should not all the other prying "demographic" crap be under that as well? I will officially now ask for the members to not post to this thread any more ....

The demographic bit is a tough call... simply because it apply's directly to anyone thinking of selling an item "en mass"... just who are these people, so, in that sense, it directly affects our cars. Chrysler had to (like any menufacturer) come up with a general idea of who future owners would be, what general groups and incomes, to price the car so they would actually sell, and would it be worth their while to produce. While that does not directly affect the car we personally own (being the topic of this board), it does affect what we will buy, who is buying, what and how many, and might influence in some small regard, future Prowler decisions. That my friend, is the reason for this long post and that is why I say that thread here is fine. ------------------ |

I think some of the comments about Sasy are getting too darn personal. Be grateful if that she doesn't leave this site for having singled her out for the intrusive comments. We're lucky to have CJ and Sasy to have a woman's perspective on owning a great car. Taking pot shots at Sasy about her age or any part of someone's personal life is inappropriate. That's my two cents, guys. ------------------ |

I'm not siding with anyone on this.....however..... I think that most of you would agree that since this group and this board was initiated, I have probably been the most active and visible female here. I realize that choosing to be as active as I am, it opens me up and singles me out to criticism, teasing, personal questions, bashing, compliments, etc. etc., and I have certainly experienced all of those things. There is a lot of kidding that goes on within the topics on this board. Sometimes, that kidding gets a little personal. If there is something that someone asks me or says about me that I don't like, I can choose to respond or I can ignore it. I have done both. I am perfectly capable of handing the same out (and I do!) and therefore, have to be able to "take it". I also believe that if any of us, male or female, chooses to make comments that can be construed as "personal" or "leading" or "teasing", that we then have to be prepared for the comments that might ensue. I believe that this behavior, recently, has been perpetuated by both sides of the coin, so to speak. With regard to myself, I have always tried to participate in a manner that is courteous, informative, accurate and also "fun at heart". The respect that has been shown to me by the members of this board, male and female, is appreciated and I will always try to live up to that by my own actions. With regard to the thread on the age demographics, I freely and with great pride stated my age, because I am darn proud of it. I chose to reveal it, as it is no big deal as far as I am concerned. If I didn't want anyone to know, I wouldn't have posted it. That was certainly a choice to be made by all of us. Just my perspective.......and thanks for listening! ------------------ |
