This is something I have considered trying for a while and finally got around to doing it this morning. I tried wrapping one of my A-arms with chrome tape and below are a couple pics of the results.

Overall I think it looks better than stock, but obviously not as good as if the arms were polished or chromed. From a distance it looks great and can't tell that it is not polished or chromed until getting up close and examining it. The above pics show the rough attempt and today I am going out to find sheets of something similar to chrome contact paper. I will then make templates and cut the shapes from the sheets of contact paper and use a heat gun to shape and wrap it around the arms.

Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated. I will post pics of the final results when completed.

Bill, the hobby shops have chrome trim sheets for the models. Adhesive back-or maybe find wing covering in chrome-shrink fit with heat activated adhesive.

They do make a chrome vinyl, pretty thick stuff, might work.

Color cordinated arms might look neat?
