HEY All, Since the Florida Keys Cruise is considered one of the best drives in America let take advantage of it. I want to plan a Saturday night stay over in Key West some weekend. We can all meet in Florida City (where gas is really cheap) and take our time to cruise down to Key West on Saturday. Sunday morning we can return. Let me know what you guys think? I recommend staying in the Hilton in Key West; they have a safe a secure parking garage. ------------------ |

My wife would be LCDR. Rickard, USN. She is currently working on another masters here in RI at the Naval War College (don't ask me, I have no clue!!) She'll transfer down before next summer...but I digress from the original topic! ------------------ |

Even though I won't be moving to Florida until probably the end of Jan. my kat will be sent down before the winter starts up north. I was thinking of sending it down to my parents house some time around the end of Oct. or begining of Nov. If your talking about that time of year I would love to participate. Would like to meet some Prowler owners in my new home state. I will be moving to Bonita Springs. It is between Ft. Myers and Naples. ------------------ This message has been edited by Blue Tie #1 on 09-03-2001 at 09:59 AM |

Brian... don't forget there are tentative plans to a have a Prowlin' event in the Keys over the New Years Eve - New Years Day time frame to be confirmed in October. We will know more then, after the Prowlin' Paradise Event. This is being planned to me one GREAT Prowlin' road trips... and for any of you Snow Bird Cats, the weather in the Keys in December is worth driving down for, so watch for those October post. If you want to plan something before then and if there are no other conflicts, you can count of the Yeller Cat to attend... it is simply a GREAT scenic drive. Keep us posted. Sincerely, Jay ------------------ |

New years is very expensive in Key West. I tried to last year to make the trip down on New Years and it was very expensive. I waited a week or so and it was more afforadable. Jay I would reccomend staying in the Hilton in Key WEst. It is One Block from the Main Street and it has an attached parking garage for our cats. Dink and I parked our cats in the Hilton Hotel garage and nothing happened. ------------------ |
