Has anybody designed a killer grill to replace the stock grill? I don't particularly care for the Carlini grill. (Don't mean to offend Carlini or anyone who has the grill). I talked to a local sheet metal/welding company today who said they could make a grill and then have it chromed locally. Do any of you have a design you would love to see come into production? Would it be vertical or horizontal tubes?? Protruding curved slats?? Give me some ideas and I will see what we can have made at a reasonable price. I asked about having chrome bars or tubes made into a grill and they said you would have to weld it after grinding off the chrome at the joints so the weld would hold, and then have it re-chromed anyway. Therefore make it out of some other metal and then have it chromed as the last step. This is a family owned business that caters to small businesses to custom work. I have known them since I was a kid. Here's our chance to get what we want so give me some design ideas. |

Cliff, now I know why I did not remember that... between the price and the look, I blacked it out of my memory! ------------------ |

Cliff, I like that one better than the Carlini grill, but it still doesn't grab me. I have no artistic talent so I cannot design one. I think bigger bars or tubes would look better and possibly have it convex instead of concave (at the top). I was hoping someone had something specific in mind that had a consensus of opinion behind it, and possibly we could get it made a lot cheaper and chrome. CJ, I have known them over 45 years (and incredibly they still ACT like they llike me). |

I thought this would generate a lot of interest since everyone was talking about chrome grills. I guess I was wrong. Anyone interested at all? |

Ed, I was working on designing my own grill and came up with a couple designs but I stopped after I did the $10 chrome trim grill. I will try to post some of the designs I came up with later.
