Every time someone comes up with a new modification for the car that takes more than a few days, someone wishes there was an exchange program for parts so that they could get it back much quicker. i.e. chrome grills, chrome suspension. I have an idea that could work. Someone with MULTIPLE Prowlers could make one a parts car and get everything chromed and when everyone else gets finished he could get all of his parts back and re-assemble his car. I nominate Mike Krehel since he has 100's of Prowlers. What does everybody think? Pretty good idea, huh? It might be advisable to note my email adress as I will probably be banned from this site. lol For the newer people, Mike Krehel has one of every color Prowler and he founded this site and pays for it so that all of us can enjoy it. Most of us really appreciate everything he does but there is always one or two jerks who give him a bad time. Thanks again Mike for all you do and thanks in advance for giving up one of your cars for a parts car. What a guy. And he is a friend of Gary C, on top of it all. |

Ya know what is funny, and a bit ironic? All this talk and interest toward 'polishing' the front A-arms, brake backer plates, etc... on these cats. It wasnt long ago (winter of '98) that I was posting on the "other" board (before being banned) my project of stripping and polishing my stock Prowler wheels for my '99 yellow Kat. Did not come with chrome as it was a July '98 car. Soooooo many people said I was "nuts", "stupid" and "wasting my time, that I should just get them chromed" if that was the look I was going for. Many of those same "experts" are over here now bestowing the praises of "the Look" the front end has after polishing. YES, it does look cool ... but far more intricate than 4 wheels to care for and upkeep! Just an observation as to how things work with certain people ... I guess it just depends on "who" it is and "what they are doing", for it to be acceptable practice and recommended to others (many people asked me about my satisfation with polishing because they were being "privatly consulted" away from it and into chrome). Go figure ... just another thing that makes you say ... "Huh". ------------------ |
